Recon v0.4.2
Recon v0.4.2
Data reliability + AMD/NVIDIA scaling fixes.
Stats now come from the real browser engine
Tracker data is fetched through Recon's own embedded browser context instead of a
raw script — the same fingerprints, cookies and navigation chain a normal
browser sends. The script path that Cloudflare kept blocking is gone.
Rate-limit hardening (no more walls)
- Requests are paced 6–8s apart, one at a time.
- A failed URL cools down 30s for every screen, so five views can't hammer
one player. - Per-lobby budget: 10 players (12 in Deathmatch), own team first.
- Private profiles (451) back off 7 days; missing pages (404) back off 24h —
they were being re-requested every lobby. - Dead-network breaker: 5 failed requests in a row → quiet for 5 minutes.
- Your own games are never re-downloaded: Act history is cached, previous acts
are pinned permanently.
Private profiles are labelled, not broken
Rows for private tracker profiles show a lock in TS / ACS / K/D / WIN% / HS%
instead of empty dashes — in the tracker table, the in-game overlay, the lobby
and the player card.
Player list is stable
- Rows no longer reshuffle as data arrives.
- Ranks no longer flicker between "Unrated" and the real rank.
- Party outlines no longer blink when one poll misses.
GPU scaling fixed (AMD + NVIDIA)
- Scaling is applied through Windows' own display API and the documented WDDM
scaling value — the toggle now actually stretches (verified: old builds
wrote "maintain aspect ratio", i.e. the opposite of what it claimed). - Recon no longer writes vendor driver keys. Those keys did nothing on
current drivers and left some AMD systems with broken scaling and a
disappearing HDMI audio device / driver. - Recon now cleans up those keys automatically on launch, so machines that
were affected heal themselves (then reinstall/repair the GPU driver once to
bring HDMI audio back).
Borderless no longer grabs focus
Applying borderless used to raise and activate Valorant, burying Recon and
forcing an alt-tab. It now changes size/style only, and never steals focus.
Smaller fixes
- Riot Chat: the friend-note input actually appears (it was being clipped away).
- Store: player titles show their real name instead of "Unknown".
- Pre-Pick map list includes Summit.
- Dev Dashboard: RAM/CPU timeline with spike markers and a full footprint
breakdown (backend + Recon's own webviews).
