Recon 0.4.4 — performance, reliability, and a safer updater.

Performance

  • Live lobby no longer flickers. Stats used to appear and then vanish as the main and overlay windows fought over state; enrichment now merges instead of overwriting, so players fill in and stay filled.
  • CPU: the app no longer spawns curl.exe for every Riot request — requests now run in-process. Process-spawn overhead was the single largest CPU cost.
  • GPU: removed three infinite CSS animations (the LIVE pulses and the update badge) that forced the compositor to redraw continuously. Measured drop: 25% of a core to roughly zero.
  • Memory: bounded seven caches that previously grew without limit over a long session.
  • The dev dashboard is no longer built into release binaries, and the hidden Tracker Network window now tears itself down after 5 minutes idle.

Updating

  • Updates now download in the background and are offered when it is safe. Recon will never install or restart during a live match or while the overlay is up — including when you click install yourself.
  • Fixed a bug where a finished match could still be shown as live.

Fixes

  • Fixed a corruption bug in the Tracker Network transport that silently truncated large responses and reported them as success. This is why some previous-act entries showed K/D 0.00 and the Agents and Maps tabs could come up empty.
  • Fixed duplicated network requests: every lobby player was being fetched twice. Request volume is roughly halved, with a hard ceiling so the app cannot hammer the API.
  • Tracker Score stat bars are now coloured by grade (S blue, A green, B yellow, C silver, D red) instead of a fixed colour per stat.
  • Overview no longer scrolls, and the window minimum now guarantees the content area it was designed for.
  • The app opens on Overview instead of restoring the Settings tab.
  • App data moved to %APPDATA%\Recon; existing settings, hotkeys and EDID backups migrate automatically.

Under the hood

  • Tracker Network responses are cached on disk, so a warm start makes no network requests.
  • Removed the legacy GitHub-API updater and an unreachable update dialog.
