Scanline Term 0.1.4
Initial pre-release of Scanline Term — retro-futuristic CRT terminal emulator for Windows with AI assistant + built-in minimalist web-browser built around keyboard-centric workflow.
Features
- Authentic CRT Simulation (Optional): Custom WebGL pipeline with scanlines, shadow mask, bloom, phosphor persistence/decay, curvature, vignetting, etc.
- Multitasking & Tabs: Multi-session terminal tabs alongside built-in browser tabs.
- Keyboard-Driven Embedded Browser: Native child WebView2 tabs engineered specifically for a keyboard-first terminal workflow. Open URLs instantly via shortcut (
Menu + B) or command-line arguments, switch between terminals and web documentation (Menu + 1...9), and close tabs (Menu + W) without touching the mouse. Application shortcuts are intercepted and bridged at the native boundary so remote web pages never capture or block your navigation keys. - Windows ConPTY Integration: Native ConPTY engine supporting PowerShell, CMD, FAR Manager, WSL, and console utilities with Win32 input mode support.
- Global Hotkey: Quick show/hide toggle from anywhere via
Win + ~. - Color Profiles & Customization: Curated palettes (Amber, Green Phosphor, C64, Cyberpunk, etc.) and real-time shader adjustments.
- AI Assistant Integration: Embedded Codex assistant with terminal execution routing.
