FalloutCraft v0.1.3 — Modded Minecraft Support 🧩 🔫 🚜
Play Fallout 4 as a Minecraft player: Fallout renders the world, collision and NPCs; Minecraft runs your movement, inventory, hearts/hunger, building and combat. Based on SkyCraft by chasmlol — huge thanks.
⚠️ Early test build. Expect bugs. Please report them in Issues with your logs.
What's new
- 🧩 NeoForge 1.21.1 build: FalloutCraft now also runs on Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge, where most Minecraft mods and modpacks live. It does everything the Fabric 26.3 build does: movement and collision, combat, night mobs, scavenging, gathering and digging, your builds, Minecraft mobs/items/particles in Fallout, your skin in F5, and the inventory, hand and HUD over Fallout.
- 🔫 Play with other Minecraft mods: drop them in the same
modsfolder. Their blocks, items, mobs, vehicles, guns and player models are drawn in Fallout like Minecraft's own.
- 🖼️ Big texture atlases: mods with lots of textures make Minecraft's block atlas huge (8192 px wide); it's now sent to Fallout in pieces instead of failing (blocks were invisible with big mods).
- ☀️ No more washed-out models: Minecraft models and blocks facing Fallout's sun no longer burn out to white.
- 🛠️ Fixes (1.21.1): no crash when the inventory (or a mod) draws the player in a menu.

Requirements
Fallout 4
- Fallout 4 1.11.240 (Next-Gen update, Steam)
- F4SE 0.7.9 or newer
- Address Library for F4SE Plugins (All in One)
Minecraft — one of:
- Minecraft 26.3 with Fabric Loader 0.19.5+, Fabric API 0.161.0+26.3 and Java 25
- Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge 21.1.x (tested with 21.1.252) and Java 21
Install
- Fallout 4: install F4SE and Address Library. Then either
- MO2 / Vortex: Install mod from archive →
FalloutCraft-0.1.3-FO4.zip→ enable it, or - Manual: copy
commonlibf4-template.dllinto<Fallout 4>\Data\F4SE\Plugins\.
- MO2 / Vortex: Install mod from archive →
- Minecraft, one of:
- Fabric 26.3: in Prism Launcher / MultiMC / Modrinth App / the official launcher, make a Minecraft 26.3 + Fabric Loader 0.19.5 instance using Java 25, and put
fabric-apiandfalloutcraft-0.1.3.jarin itsmodsfolder. - NeoForge 1.21.1 (with mods): in CurseForge / Prism / Modrinth App, make a Minecraft 1.21.1 + NeoForge 21.1.x instance using Java 21, and put
falloutcraft-neoforge-0.1.3+1.21.1.jarin itsmodsfolder next to your other mods. (CurseForge's app only lists mods from its catalog; a jar you add yourself still loads.)
- Fabric 26.3: in Prism Launcher / MultiMC / Modrinth App / the official launcher, make a Minecraft 26.3 + Fabric Loader 0.19.5 instance using Java 25, and put
- Play: start the Minecraft instance first — its window hides and it waits for Fallout (that's normal). Then start Fallout 4 with f4se_loader.exe (or MO2's F4SE entry) and load a save. Minecraft takes control of your character after a few seconds.
Updating: update both halves: replace the zip/DLL and remove the old falloutcraft-*.jar from the mods folder (keep only one FalloutCraft jar).
Known limitations with mods
- Shader packs (Iris/Oculus) and renderer replacements (Sodium-style) aren't supported: Fallout draws the world, not Minecraft.
- Mods that draw with their own shaders or effects may look plainer in Fallout, or not show up.
- Mods that take over the player's camera or movement will conflict.
- Minecraft blocks and models are lit with an approximation of Fallout's light; they don't cast shadows yet.
Reporting bugs
Attach Documents\My Games\Fallout4\F4SE\commonlibf4-template.log (and SkyCraft_crash.log if the game closed), Minecraft's logs\latest.log and, if Minecraft crashed, the newest file in its crash-reports folder. With mods, please list the mods you use.
