Quran Caption v3.6.53

This update introduces a major new overlay fade system, expands WBW visual effects, and improves batch import reliability, shortcuts, and YouTube integration.

Overlay Styles

  • Added 11 new fade shapes for overlays

You can now create much more advanced fade effects with:

    • multiple fade shapes
    • shape inversion
    • custom fade curves
    • adjustable softness
    • custom positioning
    • radial size controls

These effects are supported consistently in both preview and video export.

Word-by-Word Styles

  • Added a Persist Effect option for opacity and other compatible WBW effects

Effects applied to the currently recited word can now remain visible after the word has been recited.

  • Fixed current-word opacity for verse numbers

When the final word of a subtitle is recited, the verse number now correctly receives the current-word opacity effect as well.

Batch Processing

  • Batch names are now preserved when importing a CSV file

  • Segmentation JSON imports now respect the project's saved silence and subtitle-extension settings

  • Fixed a shortcut-related crash that could happen while recreating batches

Shortcuts

  • Fixed cases where shortcut names and descriptions could appear empty because of missing production translations

Quran Caption now falls back to the saved shortcut information when needed.

YouTube Integration

  • Improved contrast and readability of the YouTube integration across themes.
