Codex Long Jobs v0.1.0 is the first public beta release.

Highlights:

  • Durable background execution independent of the tmux viewer.
  • Automatic Codex TUI wake-up on successful and failed completion.
  • No LLM polling while jobs are running.
  • Persistent logs, atomic state, crash detection, and disk-full handling.
  • Safe delivery deferral while the TUI is busy.
  • Explicit session rebinding after Codex restarts.
  • Reproducible CI across Python 3.10, 3.13, and 3.14.

Linux is the primary tested platform. See the README and operations reference for installation, recovery rules, and current limitations.
