Highlights

  • Prefer codex queue --thread for completion delivery when supported, without relying on tmux pane metadata.
  • Retain validated TUI delivery as a compatibility path for older Codex CLI versions.
  • Record queue acceptance separately from session consumption and prevent automatic resend after timeout or interrupted dispatch.
  • Add guarded migration of terminal, safely pending TUI notifications to queue delivery.

Validation

  • GitHub Actions passed on Python 3.10 through 3.14, including subprocess branch coverage.
  • Local smoke, 10-run stress, coverage, Ruff, format, ShellCheck, and Skill validation passed.
  • Real Codex CLI 0.157.1 isolated-session acceptance covered idle, busy, and exited-TUI behavior. Queue success indicates acceptance, not consumption.
