Highlights

  • Add papers remove REF for safe, local-only removal by UUID or stored alias.
  • Add --dry-run and stable --json output for inspecting destructive changes.
  • Retain shared content-addressed PDF objects and fail closed on unsafe stored paths.
  • Normalize database and filesystem failure handling so live paper records never point to removed objects.

Removal is permanent and has no trash, undo, or restore workflow. Use papers remove REF --dry-run --json before removal when object sharing or the target is uncertain.
