Information Buttons

v1.5 adds four new buttons at the bottom to make the interface more informative and less empty:

1. About Button

  • Shows application version
  • Lists all features
  • Credits and license info
  • Contact information
  • Built with info

2. Open Downloads Folder

  • One-click access to downloads folder
  • Opens in Windows Explorer
  • Creates folder if doesn't exist
  • Quick access to your files

3. Settings Button (Preview)

  • Shows upcoming features
  • Settings roadmap
  • Currently informational only
  • Full functionality in v1.6

4. Help Button

  • Quick usage guide
  • Step-by-step instructions
  • Tips and tricks
  • Contact information

Fixed Resize Bug

Problem in v1.4:

  • Window could be maximized/fullscreen
  • Controls didn't resize properly
  • Interface broke on fullscreen

Solution in v1.5:

  • Fixed window size (700x640)
  • No maximize button
  • No resize handles
  • Consistent layout always

Updated Contact Information

New Contact Details:

All dialogs now show updated contact info.

📥 Installation & Usage

First Run

  1. Download snatch_v1.5.exe
  2. Double-click to launch
  3. Wait for tool extraction (~1 sec)
  4. Interface opens ready to use

Click "About" → See version, features, contact

Open Folder:

Click "Open Downloads Folder" → Explorer opens
Navigate to your downloaded files

Click "Settings" → See future features
Currently read-only preview

❓ FAQ

Why can't I resize the window?

Fixed window prevents the resize bug from v1.4. The 700x640 size is optimal for all features without scrolling.

Why is Settings button disabled?

It's a preview. Shows planned features for v1.6. Currently informational only - click to see what's coming.

How do I access downloads?

Click "Open Downloads Folder" button at the bottom. Opens directly in Explorer.

Where is the About info?

Click "About" button at bottom left. Shows version, features, and contact.

How do I get help?

Click "Help" button at bottom right. Quick guide with instructions.

Can I add a custom icon?

Yes! See ICON_GUIDE.md for instructions. Use your eagle logo as .ico file.

🐛 Known Issues

Minor Issues

No Custom Icon Yet: Uses default Windows icon. See ICON_GUIDE.md to add your logo.

Settings Read-Only: Settings button shows preview only. Full functionality in v1.6.

Fixed Window Size: Cannot maximize or resize. This is intentional to prevent bugs.

Workarounds

Want Bigger Window: 700x640 is optimal size. For larger displays, just position window where convenient.

Custom Icon: Follow ICON_GUIDE.md or use ResourceHacker to add icon post-build.
