Installation and Updates

Download the newest stable build from GitHub Releases.

Windows x64

  1. Download studio-windows-setup.exe.
  2. Run the signed installer.
  3. Launch Studio from the Start menu or desktop shortcut.

Studio uses Velopack for Windows installation and update metadata. Existing installed builds can detect newer releases in the background. Release artifacts also include the full .nupkg, RELEASES, and JSON update feeds for update clients.

If the friendly installer filename is unavailable, com.adoxcol.studio-win-Setup.exe is the same signed installer.

macOS

  1. Download studio-macos.zip.
  2. Extract studio.app and move it to Applications.
  3. On the first launch, right-click Studio and choose Open if Gatekeeper blocks the unsigned build.

Linux x64

  1. Download studio-linux-x64.tar.gz.
  2. Extract it with tar -xzf studio-linux-x64.tar.gz.
  3. Run ./studio from the extracted bundle.

The host may require libkeybinder-3.0 and libayatana-appindicator3 runtime packages, with package names varying by distribution.

Verify the release

Each GitHub release is produced from a version tag only after formatting, static analysis, and the full Flutter test suite pass. Windows, macOS, and Linux builds are created by separate jobs. The Windows job packages the installer and verifies its signature before publication.

The release page publishes SHA-256 digests through GitHub's artifact metadata.
