DDS Plugin SDK 0.5.0 — workspace observation
DDS Plugin SDK 0.5.0 adds bounded observation of workspace files and existing command jobs.
project.watchFiles()samples 1–16 explicit file paths and yields initial/created/changed/deleted revision events. It preserves edit snapshots and unsaved drafts; saving still checks the retained revision.client.watchJob()follows event cursors and reports expired history;waitForJob()returns the terminal snapshot after draining event pages. Observation never submits or cancels the server command.- Async iterators fetch only when pulled, share eight slots per client, and support deadlines, AbortSignal, iterator return and connection-bound disposal. Explicit reconnection uses the same job ID and last handled cursor.
- Existing workspace protocol v1 and 0.4 job methods are unchanged. New packages declare
>=0.5.0 <0.6.0; exact 0.3/0.4 archives remain verifiable with their original peers and need publisher validation/repacking for installation on 0.5.
Install the attached archive with Node 22 or 24. GitHub Releases distributes this package; it has zero runtime dependencies.
npm install --ignore-scripts --save-exact https://github.com/Altifigence/dds-plugin-sdk/releases/download/v0.5.0/altifigence-dds-plugin-sdk-0.5.0.tgz
node node_modules/@altifigence/dds-plugin-sdk/examples/workspace-observation/run.mjsObservation guide · Project sessions · Compatibility
Validation: 177 runtime tests, 14 schemas, TypeScript checks and independently installed package consumers on Windows 2025 and Ubuntu 24.04 with Node 22.23.3/24.21.0. Tests cover retained draft conflicts, cancellation of pending reads, late replies, event pages, shared limits and reconnect without command resubmission.
Developer preview: file changes are sampled and may coalesce. Job records remain in memory. The SDK adds no DDS product UI, recursive OS watcher, durable job store or new permission. Apache-2.0 LICENSE and NOTICE are included; this release does not publish to the npm registry.
DDS Plugin SDK 0.4.0 — Development Tools and Command Jobs
DDS Plugin SDK 0.4.0 adds a practical development loop and opt-in long-running command jobs.
dds-plugin initcreates a standalone plugin, runnable test and pinned SDK dependency in a new directory.doctorchecks metadata without executing code.dev --trust-local-code --watchsupervises trusted local execution and restarts on declared file changes.- Command jobs report progress/logs, expose hash-pinned UTF-8 workspace artifacts, and support reconnect-by-ID, cancellation and deadlines. Execution, nested backend calls, event history and retained records are bounded. Existing auth, generation and permission checks remain required.
- Existing 0.3 runtime APIs and workspace v1 hello remain compatible. New packages declare
>=0.4.0 <0.5.0; exact 0.3 archives remain verifiable but require publisher validation/repacking for installation on 0.4.
Install the attached tarball with Node 22 or 24. It is distributed through GitHub Releases and has zero runtime dependencies.
npm install --ignore-scripts --save-exact https://github.com/Altifigence/dds-plugin-sdk/releases/download/v0.4.0/altifigence-dds-plugin-sdk-0.4.0.tgzDevelopment tools · Jobs · Compatibility
Validation: 158 runtime tests, 14 schemas, TypeScript checks and independently installed package consumers on Windows 2025 and Ubuntu 24.04 with Node 22.23.3/24.21.0. Tests include actual process cancellation and dev descendant cleanup.
Developer preview: jobs are disabled by default and in memory; artifacts are UTF-8 files up to 256 KiB. Trusted local code is not sandboxed. This release does not add an installed DDS UI or publish to the npm registry. Apache-2.0 LICENSE and NOTICE are included.
DDS Plugin SDK 0.3.2 — Developer Preview security update
This Developer Preview security update strengthens the public SDK's user workspace host, HTTP client, and publication checks.
- Block hardlink aliases of protected or outside files across workspace reads, writes, rename, removal, and listings.
- Align credential-file exclusions across workspace access, packaging, verification, and public-package checks; reject Windows device aliases and malformed Unicode paths.
- Limit concurrent incoming bodies to 16, connections to 128, and requests per socket to 128. Preserve separate execution and cancellation limits.
- Cancel unread error responses and stalled response streams on timeout or cancellation.
Upgrade both the workspace server and client. A new client cannot enforce the updated server policy on an older host. Copy intentionally shared hardlinks into ordinary files. If a plugin archive contains newly excluded files, remove those files and publish a new plugin version. Manifest contracts, workspace protocol 1, and the >=0.3.0 <0.4.0 plugin peer range remain unchanged.
Validation: 133 runtime tests, nine schemas, TypeScript declarations, the 90-file package inventory and independent installed consumers pass on Windows/Linux with Node 22/24. Six negative regressions reproduce on the released 0.3.1 package and pass after the fixes; oversized-header rejection was already present. No known dependency vulnerabilities were reported by npm audit at release validation.
This release is distributed through GitHub Releases, not the npm registry. Use the attached SHA256SUMS.txt to check the SDK tarball. Archive verification does not authenticate a publisher, scan malware, grant consent, or isolate in-process plugin code. See Security for upgrade guidance and remaining boundaries.
DDS Plugin SDK 0.3.1 Developer Preview
SDK 0.3.1 lets consumers verify a downloaded DDS plugin package before loading it.
verifyPluginArchive()anddds-plugin verifycheck the bounded gzip/ustar format, exact file allowlist, hashes, manifest, disclosures, license and generated npm metadata without extracting or executing plugin code.- Supply an independently obtained SHA-256 to pin the selected archive bytes. Links, unsafe or duplicate paths, unlisted files, npm hooks/dependencies, malformed archives and oversized inputs are rejected.
- Includes TypeScript declarations, English/Korean verification guidance and a complete installed-package example that packages, verifies and rejects a tampered download.
- Aligns the theme metadata's popover-radius default with current DDS (16). Omitted metrics remain omitted, and explicit example values remain unchanged. Hello Ocean's two palettes and 28 tokens per mode round-trip through the current DDS parser.
Install the versioned GitHub archive:
npm install --save-exact https://github.com/Altifigence/dds-plugin-sdk/releases/download/v0.3.1/altifigence-dds-plugin-sdk-0.3.1.tgzNode.js 22 or 24 is supported. This developer preview is distributed through GitHub Releases; it is not an npm registry publication. Runtime, manifest and workspace contracts and the >=0.3.0 <0.4.0 plugin peer range are preserved. Existing 0.3.0 plugin archives can be verified without repacking.
Validation: 125 runtime tests, nine schemas, TypeScript consumers, the exact 90-file published inventory and independently installed CLI/API examples pass on Windows and Ubuntu with Node 22 and 24.
The verifier supports archives produced by the 0.3.x DDS plugin packer. The paired metadata is unsigned; a matching hash alone does not authenticate a publisher, scan malware, grant execution permission or qualify a DDS installation. Receipts describe the bytes read during that call. SDK npm tarballs use the attached SHA256SUMS.txt, not dds-plugin verify.
Read Archive verification, Compatibility and Themes. SDK materials remain Apache-2.0; plugin publishers retain their own applicable terms.
DDS Plugin SDK 0.3.0 — language APIs and workspace projects
SDK 0.3.0 adds language providers and connection-bound workspace edit sessions for external plugin developers.
- Completion, hover, definition, references and document symbols, with TypeScript declarations, JSON Schemas, explicit
document.read/language.providegrants and stale-result cancellation. - Workspace project helpers with retained CAS revisions, bounded UTF-16 text edits, explicit reload after conflict or uncertain writes, and invalidation after reconnect.
- Runnable language and HTTP project examples, English/Korean guides, and exact public-package inventory checks.
Install the versioned GitHub archive:
npm install --save-exact https://github.com/Altifigence/dds-plugin-sdk/releases/download/v0.3.0/altifigence-dds-plugin-sdk-0.3.0.tgzNode.js 22 or 24 is supported; there are no runtime dependencies. This is a developer preview distributed through GitHub Releases, not an npm registry publication.
Existing API contracts and workspace protocol v1 remain supported. Language capabilities require a 0.3.0 host and explicit new grants. New plugin archives produced by this CLI require SDK >=0.3.0 <0.4.0; publishers must validate and repack older plugin archives whose peer range excluded 0.3.0. See the compatibility and publishing guides.
Validation: 115 runtime tests, type checks, nine schemas, the exact 87-file package inventory and independent packed consumers passed in Windows/Linux × Node22/24 CI. A Windows consumer also verified Unicode editing, conflicts, explicit reload, a real configured tool process and reconnect against the public 0.2.1 server in Ubuntu 24.04 WSL2.
The SDK is an intentional public developer interface. It does not ship the private DDS application or add a DDS product editor bridge. The in-process host is for trusted plugins and is not an OS sandbox. File cancellation does not prove rollback. Apache-2.0 and included notices apply to SDK materials; independently licensed plugins and third-party components retain their own terms.
Read the language guide, project guide, compatibility and public scope.
Digital Design Studio Plugin SDK 0.2.1
Developer Preview for external Digital Design Studio plugin authors. Install the versioned GitHub archive:
npm install --save-exact https://github.com/Altifigence/dds-plugin-sdk/releases/download/v0.2.1/altifigence-dds-plugin-sdk-0.2.1.tgz- Plugin packaging now rejects recognizable key/token content and additional SSH/cloud credential paths without printing detected values.
- Public package files are explicitly inventoried and checked in CI, together with private implementation references and source credential patterns.
- README links to the English/Korean guide, public-scope documentation and the host compatibility table.
Validation: Windows/Linux × Node 22/24 CI passed, including 91 runtime tests, schemas, types and an independently installed package consumer. Manifest and workspace protocol compatibility remain unchanged. There are no runtime dependencies.
These are bounded publication safeguards, not complete secret or malware scans. This release does not publish the DDS application or enable a native product feature by itself. The workspace development host runs trusted code in-process. This package is distributed through GitHub Releases, not the npm registry.
Digital Design Studio Plugin SDK 0.2.0
SDK 0.2 adds themes, independently packaged plugins, separate consent records and a user-operated workspace server for WSL, containers or remote servers.
- Theme JSON/XML with a working light/dark example for DDS theme import.
- Manifest v2 commands, workspace file access, explicit permissions and named backend functions. Manifest v1 diagnostics remain supported.
- User workspace HTTP host/client, bounded UTF-8 files, revision-based CAS saves, generation checks, cancellation and a fixed-process backend adapter.
dds-plugin validateanddds-plugin packwith disclosure/license checks, deterministic archives and SHA-256 receipts. Both open and closed source publication are supported.- Separate technical grants, license acceptance, notice acknowledgement, optional privacy consent and revocation APIs. Central marketplace publisher acceptance remains inactive.
Install this exact preview:
npm install --save-exact "https://github.com/Altifigence/dds-plugin-sdk/releases/download/v0.2.0/altifigence-dds-plugin-sdk-0.2.0.tgz"Archive: 98,155 bytes; 73 files; SHA-256 a1578ae6b239ccc553ed7eaf60b7d91f750e6ee276d5fdaa7f743bd078755cb7.
Validation: 88 tests, seven schema checks, TypeScript, diagnostics example and independent packed consumers passed on Ubuntu 24.04 and Windows 2025 with Node 22.23.3 and 24.21.0. Packed consumer verification includes open/closed plugins and the copied workspace-server example with HTTP reads, Unicode CAS saves and an actual child tool.
The server runs plugins explicitly installed and trusted by its operator; it is not an OS sandbox. DDS native connection UI requires a Desktop release containing “Connect user workspace…”. This SDK release alone does not update an installed DDS application. No central plugin marketplace or automatic installation is enabled. APIs may change before 1.0.
DDS Plugin SDK v0.1.0 — Developer Preview
The first public developer release of the official Digital Design Studio Plugin SDK.
- Dependency-free JavaScript modules, TypeScript declarations, four JSON schemas and bounded validators.
- Diagnostics provider registration, snapshot identities, cancellation, stale-result rejection and cleanup.
- A local test host and a runnable Hello Diagnostics example with no external EDA tool requirement.
- Apache-2.0 source, API/testing documentation, contribution instructions and synthetic performance measurements.
Install the exact package:
npm install --save-exact "https://github.com/Altifigence/dds-plugin-sdk/releases/download/v0.1.0/altifigence-dds-plugin-sdk-0.1.0.tgz"The archive is 21,913 bytes (27 files), SHA-256 3b6d6b89a9d76dcdfee2a2e46453c205c9c0fccceed2d15452e18f91a5bc86b2. Public CI passed on Node 22.23.3 and 24.21.0, on Ubuntu 24.04 and Windows 2025: 25 runtime tests, schema drift checks, TypeScript, the example, an independently installed tarball consumer and synthetic benchmarks.
This developer preview supports trusted local test-host execution on Node 22 and 24. Current DDS Desktop and Cloud releases do not load third-party SDK plugins. The local test host is not a production isolation or malware-scanning service. API changes remain possible before 1.0.
