Browse OPDS catalogs
- Point a chip at an OPDS catalog and browse it like a shelf: categories drill in like folders, covers load as you browse, and books download straight into your library
- Tapping a book shows its cover, the catalog's description, and download options grouped by format, with the best format for KOReader marked
- Single-book categories (like Project Gutenberg's popular lists) act as the book itself: first tap previews it in the hero, tapping again opens the download page
- Search a catalog from its chip
- Language and category filters appear as drillable tiles
- Add, edit and remove catalogs from the picker; catalogs you already set up in KOReader's OPDS reader appear automatically
- OPDS 2.0 catalogs work too
- Catalog credentials only ever travel to the catalog's own server, even when a feed links elsewhere
Move books and folders
- Move books, selections or whole folders from the bulk menu, a book's Edit tab, or a folder's long-press menu
- Reading progress, notes, covers, collections and shortcuts all follow the moved book, with progress shown for large moves
Menus reorganised
- Edit shelf size is now at the top level; the book detail editor, the status line (now its own entry) and collection management live under Settings
- Settings is grouped into Cover display / Text size / Colors, plus new Behavior, Library & search and a slimmer Advanced, replacing the old catch-all
- Covers now show a title label on every shelf by default; pick Author, Series or None under Cover display, where the cover options now live together (including the opening effect)
- Bulk selection mode moved from the top level to Library & search, is clearer about what it does, and no longer offers itself in catalog views where it can't work
- The Updates entry shows "Update available" at the top level once a check finds one, and checking for updates is a labelled action instead of a hidden tap on the version number
- New: View changelog - browse this and past releases' notes, cached for offline reading
- Heads up: start-menu shortcuts you captured from Bookshelf menu items that have moved will show greyed out - long-press to remove them, then capture them again from their new location
Smaller improvements
- Books without covers size their placeholder title and author to fill the card
- Books that arrive while a menu is open or a download is running are noticed without a manual refresh
- Weekly reading streaks no longer reset across New Year when 1 January falls on a Monday
- Reading-goal durations show in your language, and whole hours read "2h" rather than "2h 00m"
- Battery: fewer background wakeups while menus are open, and less memory churn on the home screen
- For module authors: micromodules can declare per-region tap targets (see micromodules/README.md)
Fixes
- Uninstalling with "also delete settings" now really removes everything, including cached covers
- Kobo: a book still being prepared no longer opens itself after you leave the shelf
- The weather module can no longer pop the Wi-Fi prompt on its own
