Problem: When I click on the ‘safari.exe’ file I get an error message saying Windows protected my PC

Solution: Click on the ‘More info’ link, then click ‘Run Anyway’

2

Problem: The setup process has been completed but the demo isn’t working as expected

Solution: Check that all 4 LEDs on the Safari board are lit up. If one or more is unlit one of the power sources is out. Use DVM along with schematics to locate problem.

3

Problem: Demo doesn’t work and all 4 Safari LEDs and the blue/green Kinetis LED are lit up

Solution: Close the GUI software and power off the demo kit by unplugging the line cord. Wait approximately 30 seconds, plug back in and restart the demo.

4

Problem: The GUI doesn’t show any serial devices or COM ports

Solution: Check the Device Manager on your PC to see if the serial device is present. If it is not, unplug the serial cable and plug it into a different USB port if possible. If the serial device is present in the Device Manager, close and relaunch the GUI.

Problem: The GUI shows the Data Streaming Method as Cloud or Serial but no data appears

Solution: There is most likely a problem communicating with the Safari mezzanine card. Close the GUI software and power off the demo kit. Wait approximately 30 seconds and then restart the demo.
