For the demonstration, the microSD card inserted into the Meerkat has been pre-programmed with the Linux OS as well as all of the Python code required to set the ADC registers, read the sensor data and make it available via UART on the Meerkat. If the SD card is missing or you want to make sure you have the latest version, instructions for how to do this are here.

The only other software required is an executable file 'safari_desktop.exe' which is downloaded to the User's PC in order to run the GUI. This file can be found on the Code tab of this Github site. To download, click on the file name then click 'download':

Note: Windows' firewall may give you an error message.

If this happens, click on 'More Info', then 'Run anyway':
