@Astrofrogger Astrofrogger released this 12 Oct 21:38

Photo page with live adjustments, curves, colour wheels, crop, presets, denoise and optional spektrafilm film looks. Projects: a story across several videos at the length you choose, subtitles, and per-clip zoom, position, rotation, crop, opacity and speed. Send a project to DaVinci Resolve with its subtitles. Search footage folders and photos by what's in them, in your own language. All AI runs locally on your Mac.

Download

Pick one of the two files below, open it and drag Pluck into Applications.

File What you get
Pluck.dmg Pluck: downloading videos and music, the Library, sharing to your phone and converting files. Small and focused.
Pluck-Studio.dmg Pluck Studio: everything in Pluck, plus local AI, the editing tools for DaVinci Resolve, the Logo Animator and Edit Anywhere.

You can switch between them any time in Settings → General; your downloads, Library and settings stay.

The first time you open it, macOS will say it can't verify the developer. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. You only need to do this once; later updates install from inside the app.

Nothing else to install: Pluck downloads yt-dlp, ffmpeg and Deno on first launch and keeps them up to date.

Pluck 2.0.0

@Astrofrogger Astrofrogger released this 12 Oct 16:58

Pluck Studio 2.0 is a complete redesign: one window with Home, Library, Edit, Search and Tools, and every tool inside it. The Editor gets tabs and a media panel, real export settings (presets, MP4 or QuickTime, H.264, HEVC or ProRes, resolution, frame rate, quality or a file size to fit), fully styled subtitles you can retime on the timeline, a glossary so names are always spelled right, and a story finder that marks the passages of an interview worth building a story with. Transcripts, summaries and stories can be read in English, Dutch or another language. All AI runs locally on your Mac. Basic Pluck gets the new export settings in its Editor.

Pluck 1.19.0

@Astrofrogger Astrofrogger released this 12 Oct 11:52

The Editor (both editions): open any video or song on a timeline, like in an editing program. Cut with the blade, take parts out, set in and out, and export the edit or each part. Right-click a download and choose Open in Editor.

Also new for everyone: subscriptions to YouTube channels, playlists and podcasts; clipping by chapter; other Macs' shared Libraries open again on Macs with more than one network connection.

Pluck Studio: local AI inside the Editor (best moments, filler words, cutting pauses, and subtitles you can edit, resize and drag into place); one Search for what's said and seen; proxies, originals and folder sync with Edit Anywhere; New Background keeps logos and graphics; Fit Music to Length lands any length exactly. The AI features run locally on your Mac; nothing is uploaded.

Pluck 1.18.0

@Astrofrogger Astrofrogger released this 11 Oct 21:18

Pluck Studio: Brand Pack, Logo Animator, Delivery Check, Fit Music, Derush, Live Recorder and Find Shots now share the main window's look: a clear start, one bar with the main action, settings in tidy cards. The AI features still run locally on your Mac.

Both: each release is now just two disk images, Pluck.dmg and Pluck-Studio.dmg. Updates install from the same disk image and are checked against its SHA-256 first.

Setting up yt-dlp, ffmpeg and Deno now shows its progress, carries on where it stopped on slow connections, and can always be stopped and retried. From now on, Pluck only asks to update when there's something new in your version.

Pluck 1.15.0

Choose a tag to compare

@Astrofrogger Astrofrogger released this 11 Oct 11:29

New in 1.15.0

All AI features run with local AI on your Mac: nothing is uploaded.

  • A new Logo Animator: styles that move like hand-made motion design. Assemble (in two acts: the symbol or the dot first, then the whole logo opens out of it), Bounce, Stretch, Liquid and Line Draw, with real springs, squash and stretch and motion blur. Automatic lets the local AI on your Mac pick the style that suits your logo, and says why.
  • Logos on a background, and SVG: drop a JPG on a plain colour or a gradient and Pluck lifts the logo off it. Save as SVG turns your logo into a vector file, colour by colour.
  • A cut derush timeline: Build Derush in Resolve now makes a timeline of cuts: every usable shot as its own clip, grouped by subject, the picks in green, speech kept whole. Earlier derush results come back when you add the folder again, and timelines build reliably.
