Installing DHCP on Linux

sudo dnf upgrade


sudo dnf update (before installing DHCP server)

DHCP file backup

DHCP.conf file + lease-time conf

note. Verify lease-time configs: cat /var/lib/dhcpd/dhpcd.leases

Enable dhcpd service

systemctl start dhcpd

systemctl status dhcpd

systemctl enable dhcpd

note. The DHCP server will not work until the firewall has added and enabled the service.
