Release list
v0.4.0
Catch the workers Activity Monitor loses.
- jest worker pools (jest-worker / processChild) now classify as tool workers: swept automatically once orphaned
- new --auto-dev flag: orphaned runtimes (node, python) join the auto-kill policy — off by default, they may be daemons you meant to keep
- README FAQ on the reparented-to-launchd case
v0.3.1
Art refresh release: new pixel logo (terminal + trash) and guardian-creature mascot across the README and the project site, higher contrast grade on both. No code changes — binaries identical to v0.3.0's source.
v0.3.0
Cross-platform release.
- Linux (x86_64 + aarch64, static musl binaries) and Windows (x86_64) join macOS universal
- Pressure source per OS: macOS kernel level, Linux PSI (/proc/pressure/memory); Windows has no
kernel pressure signal, so the critical-pressure rule is off there — orphan reaping, panic and
manual kills all work (kills are immediate TerminateProcess) - Native notifications everywhere: osascript / notify-send / PowerShell toast
- New pixel-art mascot: the TUI window watches its gauge fill and zaps the orphan-process ghost
- Confirm popup on every kill path, cursor anchored to process identity, --help exits 0
v0.2.0
Refactor + safety release.
- All user-facing strings translated to English
- Selection anchored to process identity: a re-sorted list can no longer move the kill target under the cursor
- x / X / p share one confirm popup; protected processes refused in a single funnel
- Agent matching allocation-free and versioned-install aware; no claude special case
- Per-tick: cached cmdlines, memoized subtree sums, one orphan collection, child index in kill_tree, stable tmux session order, visible-window-only drawing
- CLI: --help exits 0 on stdout, floors on --rss-limit-mb 0 / --orphan-grace-s 0, pending escalations flushed on exit
- Mascot added to the README
v0.1.0
Initial release.
Tiny TUI that watches what terminal coding agents spawn, alerts before macOS runs out of memory, and kills the leftover workers (orphaned test/tool processes re-parented to launchd) before they drown the machine.
- TUI with process groups (orphans, tmux sessions, agents outside tmux), RAM/swap/pressure gauges
- Auto-kill policy: orphaned tool workers after a grace period; heaviest target under critical pressure
- Panic popup: pre-marked kill targets, toggle and confirm
- SIGTERM then SIGKILL, macOS notifications, kill log at ~/.local/state/aimon/kills.log
- macOS universal binary (arm64 + x86_64)
