• Fixed: one-click Apply stuck at 75% — the NVIDIA driver-profile step finished in the background, but the progress screen never learned about it and waited forever. If a previous run hung there, the profile most likely applied anyway; running Apply again on v0.5.1 will confirm cleanly.

• Smoother feel — every button and link now shows a hand cursor on hover.

Fixed

Zen 5 CPUs now get a recommendation. The 9800X3D, 9950X3D, 9900X3D, 9700X, 9600X, 9950X and 9900X previously fell through to "No known profile for this CPU" — the most common current gaming chips got nothing.

Memory-safety bug in CPU detection. The cache-topology walk read 24 bytes past its buffer on every startup. Harmless in practice on most machines, but genuine undefined behaviour.

One corrupt session file could permanently break the app. An absurd frame time made the Measure tab panic on open — and since it crashed on open, there was no way to reach the button to delete the offending file.

Comparisons could report a confident gain that wasn't real. A 25-second baseline against a 30-minute optimized run passed every check and showed green. Runs more than 2× apart in length are now marked inconclusive.

Half your V-Cache CCD with SMT disabled. On a dual-CCD X3D chip with SMT turned off in BIOS, the recommended mask covered only half the cores it should have.

The app disturbed the measurement. Saved-session metrics were fully recomputed every frame, and live capture stats re-sorted the entire run twice a second — burning CPU on the machine being benchmarked, unevenly between short and long runs.

Elevation hardening. The elevated instance no longer inherits the working directory it was launched from (a DLL-planting vector when running from Downloads), and an AppLocker/policy block is no longer silently reported as "you cancelled".

Also: the optimized shortcut no longer breaks silently if the mask was typed as 0x555; a capture read error can no longer hang the parser; the overlay's ✕ button works; the baseline no longer shows a green "ready" before hardware detection finishes; two identical GPUs are no longer merged into one.

143 tests pass, clippy clean. Bundled PresentMon 2.5.1 is Intel's MIT-licensed CLI; see PresentMon-LICENSE.txt.
