Building trust through respectful dialogue, fairness, and collaboration.
Disagreements are a natural part of every open-source community. CeloHT encourages constructive discussions and provides a transparent process for resolving conflicts while preserving a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative environment.
Our goal is to resolve issues fairly, consistently, and in the best interest of the community.
Conflict resolution at CeloHT is based on:
- Respect
- Fairness
- Transparency
- Accountability
- Active listening
- Good faith
- Collaboration
- Community well-being
Conflicts may include, but are not limited to:
- Technical disagreements
- Governance disputes
- Community behavior concerns
- Code review disagreements
- Documentation disputes
- Partnership concerns
- Resource allocation discussions
- Code of Conduct violations
Whenever possible, the individuals involved should first attempt to resolve the issue respectfully through open and constructive communication.
If the issue cannot be resolved directly, it may be brought to the community for discussion through the appropriate communication channels.
The objective is to gather perspectives, clarify misunderstandings, and seek a mutually acceptable solution.
If additional assistance is needed, project maintainers may:
- Review the situation.
- Gather relevant information.
- Speak with the parties involved.
- Recommend a resolution.
- Ensure the Code of Conduct is respected.
For significant governance or organizational disputes, the matter may be reviewed under the project's governance framework.

Once a decision has been reached, the outcome should be documented when appropriate and communicated clearly to the affected parties.
Sensitive conflicts involving personal information or security concerns should be handled confidentially whenever possible.
Only information necessary to resolve the issue should be shared.
All participants are expected to:
- Remain respectful.
- Listen actively.
- Avoid personal attacks.
- Focus on facts rather than assumptions.
- Seek constructive solutions.
- Accept community decisions made through established processes.
If a participant believes that a decision was unfair or incomplete, they may request a review by providing:
- A clear explanation of the concern.
- Relevant supporting information.
- A proposed resolution.
Appeals will be considered objectively and in accordance with project governance.
CeloHT periodically reviews its conflict resolution practices to ensure they remain fair, transparent, and effective as the community grows.
