- Minecraft Bedrock 26.30 or newer
- Standard graphics and Vibrant Visuals/PBR
- Single-player, multiplayer, Realms, and compatible Bedrock servers
- Overworld, Nether, End, and supported submerged graves
- Stable Script APIs; no experimental toggles
- No cheats, commands, or required dependencies
- Void deaths are not protected.
- Lava requires Tier IV.
- Experience follows vanilla loss/drop rules.
- Grave placement needs a valid bounded area; the search does not rewrite unlimited terrain.
- Third-party inventory, death, keep-inventory, grave, equipment, or custom-dimension add-ons may conflict.
- Obtain an Amethyst Shard to unlock Tier I.
- Obtain the previous rune tier to unlock an upgrade.
- Use a Crafting Table and match the shaped recipe exactly.
- Tier I uses Crying Obsidian at top-left and bottom-right, Obsidian at top-right and bottom-left, four Amethyst Shards, and a center Diamond.
- Confirm both packs are version 0.1.36 and remove old duplicates.
- Confirm the Behavior Pack and Resource Pack are both active.
- Verify the item is one of the custom Soulbound Rune tiers.
- Restart the world after removing duplicate development copies.
- Test without equipment or inventory add-ons that also modify off-hand behavior.
- The rune must be in the off-hand before death.
- Confirm its lore shows at least one use remaining.
- Void is never protected; lava needs Tier IV.
- Check the Content Log for the Soulbound Graves runtime-loaded message and any error after
entityDieorentityItemDrop. - Reproduce once on level Overworld terrain with other add-ons disabled.
- Wait through the immediate death/respawn transition; correlated drops may exist briefly.
- Do not close the world during the transaction.
- Check whether the loose items are the player's actual death inventory or unrelated items already on the ground.
- Save Content Log lines from the death through the grave commit.
- Do not continue destructive testing in an important world until the cause is identified.
- Make inventory room and respawn or rejoin; delivery remains pending and retries.
- Confirm the item is a native Recovery Compass renamed Soulbound Recovery Compass.
- Read the lore for owner, day, dimension, and binding information.
- Check for inventory-organizer add-ons that may move or merge the compass.
- Select it in the hotbar and hold it.
- Use the compass bound to the intended grave.
- A cross-dimension compass reports the different dimension rather than a local bearing.
- A released or malformed binding cannot navigate.
- Dig through the coarse dirt and interact directly with the remains.
- Hold the matching compass in the main hand.
- Only the owner may recover.
- Clear inventory space for every stored stack.
- If expired, use a Wither Rose first and the compass second.
- Confirm the Resource Pack is active and matches the Behavior Pack version.
- Remove older duplicate packs.
- Move the addon Resource Pack above conflicting visual packs for a test.
- Compare Standard graphics with Vibrant Visuals.
- Include screenshots and platform/GPU details when reporting PBR artifacts.
- World settings: operator, rune in main hand, crouch + use.
- Grave menu: owner or operator, crouch + interact with the tombstone.
- Release the interaction control after the form opens.
Include:
- Addon version and exact Bedrock version
- Platform and graphics mode
- World, Realm, or server
- Behavior and Resource Pack order
- Other active add-ons
- Rune tier, uses, and slot before death
- Death cause, dimension, and terrain medium
- Whether grave, sign, lantern, skeleton, compass, or loose drops appeared
