Create: Orrery

Welcome to the Orrery wiki! Orrery is an addon for Create: Northstar Redux that adds new explorable planets, moons, and dwarf planets to your Create-powered solar system.

This wiki is split into two sections:

• For players — what's currently in the mod, how to survive on new planets, and what to mine.
• For developers — how Orrery's planet framework works, and how to add new planets, moons, or dwarf planets yourself.

What's in the mod right now

Orrery currently adds Eris, a distant dwarf planet with:

• A pitch-black, star-filled sky with a faint, distant Sun
• Extremely low gravity (~0.084g)
• A surface of moon sand over stone
• Its own ore deposits: copper, zinc, tungsten, titanium, and glowstone
• AE2 meteorites, with all unrelated structures disabled
• Full integration with Northstar's Telescope (including a fix for a Pluto display bug)

What's coming

More worlds are planned — additional dwarf planets, moons, and Kuiper Belt objects — all built on the same data-driven planet framework introduced with Eris. Adding a new planet is largely a matter of writing JSON, not Java.
