Do I need Solid Self without shaders?

No. Without shaders players already look correct.

Does it work on servers?

Yes. It runs only on your client, works on any server, and the server doesn't need it.

Do other players need it?

Solid Self changes how your game draws all players, so you see everyone solid and outlined. Others need it in their own game to see the same.

Does it cost performance?

It only swaps one render type for another, so there is no extra work for your game.

Why does it need Fabric API?

For the toggle key.

Is there a Forge or NeoForge version?

Not at the moment.

Will it be needed forever?

Hopefully not. Once Iris fixes the problem itself, you can remove Solid Self.

Can I use it in my modpack?

Yes. Solid Self is released under the MIT License.
