Pixel ladybug icon Troubleshooting

Common problems and how to solve them.

Players are still see-through or have no outlines

  1. Press your toggle key and check that it says "Solid Self: enabled".
  2. Make sure the mod is loaded: it should appear in the mod list and under Key Binds.
  3. Check that a shader pack is active and its outline option, if it has one, is turned on.
  4. Test with only Fabric API, Iris, Sodium and Solid Self. If it works then, another mod changes how players are drawn. Please open a compatibility report.

Player heads still look see-through

Player heads are covered since Solid Self 1.2.0. Update the mod and make sure it's enabled with your toggle key.

My player is completely invisible

Check whether you have the Invisibility effect. Vanilla then hides the hand and shows you only as a ghost, and with shaders the ghost can vanish entirely. Solid Self doesn't touch this. Drink milk or wait until the effect ends.

The game crashes or the mod doesn't load

  • Use Minecraft 26.2 with Fabric Loader 0.19.0 or newer.
  • Install Fabric API.
  • Look for lines with solidself in logs/latest.log and attach the file to a bug report.

Parts of my skin look different

Partly transparent skin pixels are shown fully visible or fully invisible. See How it works.
