Supported Versions

Pipster 1.0.0 supports Minecraft 1.21.1 to 26.3 on Fabric and NeoForge. Some files cover several Minecraft versions. Such a file is offered only where it was started and tested unchanged on every version it lists. There is no file that claims an open range.

Which file do I need?

What "tested" means

For every Minecraft version above, the exact file from the table was:

  1. started as a client and as a dedicated server,
  2. run through all automated game tests. They cover item, fluid, energy and gas transport, throughput limits, filters, tesseracts, claim protection and team sharing, breaking and placing pipes with buffered content, save/load, unloading and reloading, recipe and loot loading, the integration API and network packet checks,
  3. started again together with each supported other mod that exists for that version (see Integrations),
  4. played by hand before the release (port screen, wrench, pipes, tesseracts with two players, world and server, integrations).

"Tested" does not mean that every other mod works with Pipster. See Resources and Compatibility.

26.3 0.19.5 0.161.0+26.3 5.0.0 26.3.0.37-beta

NeoForge versions ending in -beta mean that NeoForge had no stable build for that Minecraft version on the test date (2026-10-01). The Pipster file was tested with that beta.

On Fabric, Team Reborn Energy is included in the Pipster file, so you do not need to install it separately. Fabric API is required. Pipster needs the same Java version as your Minecraft version (Java 21 for 1.21.x, Java 25 for 26.x); the official launcher sets this up on its own.

Integrations

Pipster includes optional support for the mods below. They are never required. An integration is included for a Minecraft version only if the other mod has a release for it. "Tested" means: the Pipster file started together with that mod (client and dedicated server) and the integration reported itself as active; for most of them the automated game tests also ran with the mod installed.

² On 1.21.2, Jade itself crashes dedicated servers (a bug in Jade 16.0.x, independent of Pipster). In singleplayer it works with Pipster. ³ On NeoForge 26.3, the current CC: Tweaked and Open Parties and Claims builds do not start on NeoForge 26.3.0.37-beta (an error in those mods). Pipster's support for them is included and will work once they are updated, but it could not be tested yet. ⁴ On NeoForge 1.21.6 and 1.21.7 the only Open Parties and Claims build (0.24.4) crashes dedicated servers on its own; only singleplayer could be tested there.

What each integration does is described in Resources and Compatibility.

Moving worlds between versions

  • Updating Minecraft (and using the matching Pipster file) keeps pipes, settings, buffers and channels. The save format is the same in all versions.
  • Going back to an older Minecraft version is not supported by Minecraft itself.
  • Moving a world between Fabric and NeoForge uses the same ids and data.
  • Always back up your world before updating.
