Release list
v1.0.14
What's new
- Added proper JioSaavn collection support. Album, playlist, featured-list, artist, and podcast-season links now open the full item-selection flow instead of showing only the first item.
- Added an explicit JioSaavn provider identity with audio-first defaults.
- Added Clear queue for removing large paused or waiting queues in one action.
- Clear queue asks for confirmation, can cancel the active download when requested, and does not delete downloaded files or existing History.
- Updated Jackson Databind to 2.22.3 and the Gradle wrapper to 9.8.0.
- Updated the provider catalog and Windows installation documentation.
Downloads
Choose the asset for your platform below. Android users should normally select the arm64-v8a APK. Windows users can use the x64 installer or portable ZIP. Linux packages are also attached when the release build completes.

v1.0.10
DBase Video & Music Downloader 1.0.10
Trim editor improvements
- Encode progress: saving a trimmed clip now shows a real ffmpeg progress bar with percentage, on Android, Windows, and Linux - long re-encodes no longer look frozen.
- Cinema mode: a fullscreen video view with play/pause, 10-second skip, and a scrub bar.
- Skip buttons: rewind/forward 10 seconds in the transport controls.
- Video preview is letterboxed (no more cropping) and the desktop layout no longer overflows.
Fixed
- Desktop (Windows/Linux) trim preview showed a black video while audio played; the video output is now attached before the media loads, so it renders correctly.
- When a device cannot decode a format for live preview (e.g. 4K VP9 on Android), the editor stays usable - you can still trim with the waveform and time fields.
See CHANGELOG.md.
v1.0.9
DBase Video & Music Downloader 1.0.9
New
- Trim editor for completed downloads: preview the whole file or a selected range, loop the selection, drag the start/end handles, and save the cut as a new clip (audio and video).
- Set as ringtone for saved MP3s on Android - the write-settings permission is requested only when you use it.
Changed
- The trim preview player is now platform-split so the Android build ships with no prebuilt native media blobs: Android/iOS/macOS/web use
video_player(AndroidX Media3/ExoPlayer, built from source), while Windows and Linux usemedia_kit. This keeps the F-Droid build reproducible and scanner-clean. The Windows binary bundles libmpv; the Linux package now depends on the systemlibmpv.
Fixed
- On-device trimming failed with "ffprobe was not found in the FFmpeg package". The app now runs the bundled ffmpeg/ffprobe with the correct library path, so probing and trimming work on Android.
See CHANGELOG.md and THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md.
v1.0.8
DBase Video & Music Downloader 1.0.8
Reliability
- Auto-retry for flaky providers: transient TikTok extractor errors ("Unable to extract universal data for rehydration" and similar anti-bot glitches) are retried automatically up to 3 times, for both downloads and URL analysis. The final failure message now explains what happened instead of quoting raw yt-dlp output.
- Failed downloads stay in the Queue with a Retry button instead of disappearing into History; dismissing one files it under History. History gains a Retry all button that honors the active search/provider filters.
- Duplicate protection: the same URL and output format cannot wait in the queue twice, repeated failures replace the older history entry, Retry all collapses duplicated entries, and stored history is de-duplicated on startup.
Managing finished downloads
- Finished items show the real saved file name instead of an opaque
content://URI, plus a thumbnail preview on History cards (Android). - Rename saved files from the History item menu - the extension is preserved and illegal characters are cleaned up.
- MP3 tag editor (title / artist / album / comment) built on a dependency-free ID3v2.3 writer; embedded cover art and other frames survive edits.
- Opening a file that was deleted or moved now reports it clearly.
Tuning and flow
- Download Tuning settings map to yt-dlp: retries, fragment retries,
--sleep-requests,--sleep-interval/--max-sleep-interval, plus an app-side pause between queue items to avoid rate-limiting on long queues. - Shared links land on Home and analyze automatically, exactly like a typed link - format options appear with no extra taps.
- Clipboard link detection (optional, on by default): when the app comes to the foreground it offers to grab a link you copied. The clipboard is only readable while the app is on screen.
