Choose a tag to compare

@Dechrissen Dechrissen released this 07 Jul 20:03

v0.10.0

Release Date: 7 July 2026

See installation instructions: https://github.com/Dechrissen/dexelect#installation

Features

  • [Core] Added Gen 4 support (Diamond/Pearl)
  • [GUI] Added number of new species to headers in 'Spheres' tab to indicate how many new Pokemon are introduced per sphere
  • [Core] Added new generation mode "Random (Obtainable)" which generates a fully random party amongst Pokemon obtainable in the current game (essentially those in the Regional Dex)
  • [Core] Added new acquisition method 'repeatable_static_encounter' for Pokemon like Lapras in Union Cave

Changes

  • [Core] Adjusted sphere boundaries for all games to help with balance calculations (e.g. Sphere 1 for all games is smaller, with its endpoint at Gym 1)
  • [Core] Improved generation (speed and odds) by reducing available set of Pokemon to strictly obtainable Pokemon for a given game (to prevent searching through the full National Dex when it's not necessary)
  • [Data] Moved roaming Pokemon to their own map indicating "random location + original starting point", e.g. Entei can be acquired via roaming on a map named RandomLocationStartingFromBurnedTowerB1F for Gold/Silver
  • [Core] Renamed "Random" generation mode to "Random (National Dex)"

Fixes

  • [Data] Changed Wobbuffet species line to Wynaut and updated its evo stage to 2 in Gen 3 data
  • [Core] Changed acquisition method for Lapras in Union Cave (Gen 2), Drifloon at Valley Windworks (Gen 4) to new 'repeatable_static_encounter' method so those Pokemon can correctly appear more than once in parties if config settings allow
