Welcome to the CS690 Project Management wiki!

Scenario

  • A day in the life of Riya

Morning

  • Riya checks her inbox to find several emails from clients. One wants an update on a website design, another has a new request for revisions, and a third is asking for an invoice. “I need to organize all these tasks,” she mutters, jotting them down on a sticky note.

Late Morning

  • While working on a graphic design project, Riya gets a call from a client asking about the timeline for delivery. She flips through her notebook, trying to find the deadline. “I really need a better way to track deadlines,” she says, realizing she’s overbooked this week.

Lunch

  • During lunch, Riya talks to her friend Aman, who suggests using a project management tool. “I track my projects, deadlines, and invoices all in one place,” he says. Riya likes the idea but feels most tools are too complicated for her needs.

Afternoon

  • Later, Riya finishes a project and tries to calculate how much she’s earned this month. Between random spreadsheets and handwritten notes, it’s hard to get a clear picture. “If I could track everything in one system, I’d feel more in control,” she thinks.

Evening

  • As Riya prepares for bed, she reviews her to-do list and realizes she forgot to send an invoice for a completed project. “If I had reminders, this wouldn’t keep happening,” she sighs, resolving to find a better way to manage her freelance work.

Business Requirement
