Developer Documentation

This document is for individuals to replicate the environment and make any desired contributions/changes.

SDKs & Tools

• Install .NET SDK Version 8 from the official Microsoft page: Download .NET 8.0
• Install Git from the official Git page: GIT

Clone the repository to your local environment

• Run this command:
  • git clone https://github.com/Ejvargas24/CS690-FinalProject

Testing

• Change to the solution folder by cd ProjectManagement
• Run the test command dotnet test if the tests can pass, you're in the development environment

Confirm this on V2

Running

• Go in the project directory
  • cd ProjectManagementProject to go into the solution
  • cd ProjectManagment to go to the project
  • dotnet run to run the program

Development

This repository is protected so you will not be able to commit to the main branch. If you would like to contribute, please follow the steps below:

• Create a branch
• Make any changes that add/edit/remove code
• Test your changes locally by following the "Testing" and "Running" steps to ensure they pass
• Commit/push your branch
• Create a pull request

Make a release

• Navigate to the solution directory
• run dotnet publish
• zip the project by zip -r ProjectManagement *
• Create a new release in GitHub with the zip file, applicable version number, and notes
