Warlock Engineer TEST v0.1.79-dev
Warlock Engineer TEST v0.1.79-dev. Built from 8580ff5 through the standalone adaptation of the Tweaker ship transaction. Native material splice, package checks and hosted QA passed. Strengthens the visible hose's resting curve while retaining its physics, and adds bounded hand/launcher pose diagnostics for the still-open grip issue. The new hose shape needs an in-game visual verdict; the weapon grip is not claimed fixed. Workshop item: 3794172730. Publication only; no game installation or local deployment is claimed.
Warprocket Bombardier TEST v0.1.77-dev
Warprocket Bombardier TEST v0.1.77-dev
Crunch's v0.1.76-dev host log confirms repeated ragdolls work and the old spawn crash has not returned. The hose still disappeared: each of seven instances wrote its first pose, then rejected the native Ratling's uniform 1.1-scale endpoint on the next update. This release accepts that validated native scale, normalizes the endpoint axes for the existing semi-rigid hose solver, and preserves the scaled world-space attachment positions. Invalid, nonuniform, sheared and reflected transforms still stop safely. The rig, hose physics, control scales and cleanup are unchanged.
Please confirm in game that the hose remains visible and flexes during movement, aiming, reload and death on host and client. The retreat-turn smoothing from v0.1.76-dev also awaits a visible verdict. Written observations and matching logs are enough; no video is needed.
Built from merged commit 53c7072 (PR #26). Clean SDK compilation, six material splices, full package and ragdoll checks, and hosted qa-gate passed. Workshop TEST item 3794172730 uploaded with a fresh Steam start/new-content/finish-OK transaction and independently verified at content handle 746099109113510749, 96,322,558 bytes. Publication-only: no game installation or local deployment. Public alpha v0.1.56-alpha is unchanged.
Warprocket Bombardier TEST v0.1.76-dev
Warprocket Bombardier TEST v0.1.76-dev
The v0.1.75-dev animation-hook collision made VMF reject the post-animation callbacks used by both the corpse pose bridge and the hose. The matching tester log records six frozen ragdoll handoffs and six hoses with no updates or bone writes. This release consolidates the hooks so gait updates run before native animation and corpse/hose work is queued afterward. It retains the existing ragdoll transfer, hose rig and semi-rigid physics solver.
Retreat movement now starts the next safe leg before reaching the previous endpoint and favors a continuous heading. The 4 m/s run, 8–12 second duration, 20 m clearance goal, and navmesh/same-floor/away-from-player guards remain.
Built from merged commit ffee09f (PR #25). Clean SDK compilation, all six material splices, full package and ragdoll checks, and hosted qa-gate passed. Workshop TEST item 3794172730 uploaded and independently verified at content handle 6554451787565527082, 96,320,635 bytes. Publication-only: no game installation or local deployment. Host/client visual acceptance of the corpse, hose and retreat turn remains open. Public alpha v0.1.56-alpha is unchanged.
Warprocket Bombardier TEST v0.1.75-dev
Addresses the reported foot sliding and launcher/hand separation:
- Separate walk/run clips, including the previously ignored native run event, paced from actual movement.
- Tighter animation position compression preserves hip motion under the custom rig's 100x wrapper.
- The visible torso and hands receive the existing host/client aim target through their own named constraint, with all 13 aim references calibrated to the native point.
Weapon geometry, attachment orientation and drop physics are preserved. This TEST update still needs in-game confirmation of foot contact and hand grip. The missing hose remains unresolved; its physics and diagnostics are unchanged.
Published only to TEST Workshop item 3794172730. Public alpha is unchanged; no game-folder deployment was performed.
Validation: 361 Python tests plus ragdoll checks passed. PR #24 and merged commit 3d3d068 passed hosted QA.
Steam transfer verified 2026-09-16 05:37 UTC: manifest 4259111273035701945, 96,322,161 bytes, with item-specific upload start, new-content and finish-OK records.
Warprocket Bombardier TEST v0.1.74-dev
TEST v0.1.74-dev implements the requested quicker shove and longer escape.
- Shove cooldown: 2 seconds, down from 7.5; trigger range: 2.2 m, up from 1.8.
- Retreat uses the carrier's 4 m/s run speed, continues for 8–12 seconds on open ground and seeks 20 m separation. It chains reachable 8/4/2 m destinations. Blocked routes and combat interruptions may end it earlier.
- Native push force, zero damage, impact timing, ammunition preservation and the point-blank launch guard remain unchanged.
- Tester observations are accepted without video or recordings. The forms, Workshop instructions and existing recording requests have been corrected.
The hose is still reported missing. Its physics and v0.1.73 diagnostics are unchanged; this release does not claim a visibility fix.
After refreshing Workshop and restarting the game, verify [doomrocket:LOAD] v0.1.74-dev. Test a shove on open ground, allow the Engineer to retreat, then try pursuit and blocked escape routes. Describe what you saw and attach the complete matching console log. For the hose, report whether it is visible; no recording is needed.
Validation: canonical clean build, all six native material splices, 330 Python pipeline tests, ragdoll regressions, PR #23 QA and merged-default QA passed. Native navigation and host/client results remain unverified.
Source: 2a1c95d603673f2ad8b862d8e97ea831815c0795 (PR #23). Publication targets TEST item 3794172730 only; no game-folder deployment. Public alpha v0.1.56-alpha is unchanged.
Verified Workshop publication: 09/16/2026 04:45:07; manifest 5684565432573281873; 96,243,881 bytes. Fresh Steam upload start/content/finish-OK and independent API readback agree.
Warprocket Bombardier TEST v0.1.73-dev
TEST v0.1.73-dev is uploaded on Workshop item 3794172730.
This is a diagnostic release for the missing hose, not a claimed visibility fix. Crunch's PR #21 follow-up and both matching v0.1.72-dev logs show hose creation and death cleanup without the expected simulation sample. The spawn crash appears resolved in those host sessions; the invisible-hose cause remains unresolved.
The update records rejected live transforms, lost visuals, solver/frame failures, distance limits, the first completed pose update and native bone readback, plus update/write counters on cleanup. Reporting is bounded per owner. Physics, gravity, damping, endpoint profiles, rig, materials, safety guards and animation ownership are unchanged.
For the next test, restart after the Workshop update and confirm [doomrocket:LOAD] v0.1.73-dev. Enable TEST only. Spawn one Engineer, observe and move around it for at least ten seconds, then kill it. Attach the complete console log even if the hose remains invisible, and state what was visible. The maintainer analyzer is py -3 tools/analyze_hose_log.py <log> --expected-version 0.1.73-dev; it distinguishes controller progress from visual acceptance.
Validation: clean BuildOnly and final rebuild, exact committed package parity, native material splice, all 325 Python tests plus ragdoll regressions, and hosted QA before/after PR #22 merged. No in-game visibility fix or acceptance is claimed.
Verified 2026-09-16 03:03 UTC: exact-item upload start, new manifest 992911228893621231, and finish OK. Independent Steam metadata matches the title, public visibility, manifest and 96,242,858 bytes.
Source/tag commit: b8069454e07ec3d19c6edc40c02dc065eaecaf62. Root bundle SHA-256: 5251f95ab1900ba1b3167550a53e7ac3b7099a9575367dbea0a48c4f93fa048b.
Public alpha v0.1.56-alpha remains unchanged. Publication only; no game-folder deployment.
Warprocket Bombardier TEST v0.1.72-dev
TEST v0.1.72-dev is uploaded and ready for in-game testing on Workshop item 3794172730.
This update corrects the instant spawn assertion reported in #20: hose creation called animation-control APIs on a skin with no animation blender. The semi-rigid hose physics remain enabled, including gravity, damping, both endpoint attachments, all 29 control-bone updates and death/drop cleanup. No solver, rig or physics settings were removed or replaced.
Validation: canonical clean BuildOnly and final ship, verified native-material splices, matching committed build receipt, 321 Python tests plus ragdoll regressions, and successful hosted qa-gate checks before and after PR #21 merged. The stricter spawn regression failed at the reported call before the fix and passes afterward. In-game acceptance remains pending; #20 and #3 stay open.
Restart Vermintide 2 after the Workshop update and verify [doomrocket:LOAD] v0.1.72-dev on every peer. Enable TEST only. First spawn several loaded Engineers, then inspect hose attachment and motion while turning, aiming and reloading. Kill loaded and unloaded Engineers and verify hose cleanup and stable body/weapon drops. Repeat on a remote client and attach matching logs; a short video is useful for visible hose behavior.
Verified publication: 2026-09-15 17:17 UTC. Steam recorded upload start, new content manifest 5073916577951013553, and finish OK for this exact item. Independent metadata readback matched the title, public visibility, manifest and 96,240,966-byte package.
