Glass Vial Potion Arrows
Tip any modular arrow with any potion. New in 2.0.0.
-
Craft an empty Glass-Vial arrow at the Fletching Table by
using a
Glass Bottlein the head slot, any shaft, any fletching. - Fill the Dipping Vat with any potion (right-click the vat with a potion bottle). The vat accepts any vanilla or modded potion.
- Dip the Glass-Vial arrow in the filled vat — sneak-right-click the vat while holding the arrow. The arrow comes out tipped with that potion.
The resulting arrow tooltip names the potion contents, e.g. "Potion Arrow (Strength II)".
When a Glass-Vial arrow hits anything:
- The vial shatters on impact.
- The stored potion splashes onto whatever it struck.
- The effect intensity scales by distance from impact, identical to vanilla splash potions.
- The arrow consumes itself — Glass-Vial arrows are single-use.
Because the payload is the potion, Glass-Vial arrows do 0.4× base damage — they're a delivery system, not a damage type.

JEI indexes the dipping recipe per-potion. Searching for "Strength Arrow" or "Jump Boost Arrow" in JEI surfaces the matching dipping recipe directly.
Glass-Vial is a head, so you can combine it with any modular shaft + fletching. Shaft and fletching effects still apply on hit (e.g. cherry shaft heals the shooter, serrated fletching homes toward targets) — only the head's "potion splash" replaces the normal head behavior.
Stacking with shaft effects like Cherry's heal is a powerful combo: splash Regen on a target, heal yourself from the same arrow.
