Commands & Debugging

Version: Minecraft 1.21.1 (NeoForge).

All in-game configuration and diagnostic controls are accessed via the /beamlights root command. Any adjustments made via /beamlights are applied instantly and saved automatically to config/beamlights-client.toml (or the server configuration for gamerules).

/beamlights or /beamlights status None Displays the active backend (lambdynamiclights or sodiumdynamiclights), active light count, current preset, and indoor/outdoor state.
/beamlights on None Globally enables beam lighting.
/beamlights off None Globally disables beam lighting (clears all active light points). Useful for A/B testing FPS differences.
/beamlights reload None Reloads config/beamlights-client.toml and refreshes all active beams.

/beamlights layout preset <preset> default Applies a layout preset (default, wide, performance, cliff, floodlight).
/beamlights layout sideSpread <float> 0.55 Angular spread of side rays as a fraction of the cone angle (0.1 to 1.0).
/beamlights layout midpoints <int> 2 Number of intermediate light points placed along each ray (0 to 8).
/beamlights layout sideOffset <int> -1 Relative light level of side rays compared to the central beam (-5 to 0).

Cone Light (/beamlights cone ...)

Only applicable with LambDynamicLights backend.

Command Default Description
/beamlights cone enabled <true|false> false Enables or disables the soft cone light.
/beamlights cone preset <preset> balanced Applies a cone preset (light, balanced, wide).
