Contributing

Any contribution to Nature's Debris is greatly appreciated. Do you want to help me making this mod: consider contributing! Every contribution makes me, and the growing community, happier.

Things that need to be done

The following tasks are always appreciated:

• Developing some code
• Making some music
• Making sound effects
• Managing the wiki
• Making assets (textures, models, etc.)
• Translating the mod

If I have some other task, I'll announce that...

Developing code

Contributions to the code, such as adding a feature or fixing a bug, are always appreciated. This can be done via a pull request, or by forking this repository. When forking the repository to make changes, make sure you open an issue that references the fork.

Making music

Are you in making music? Then this is a task for you! I need some ambient music for the dimensions, and I don't have a lot of time to make music tracks myself. The main theme of the music should be calm and ambient, but also a little obscure. Compare it with the music of Minecraft itself, that's similar... I really need music, so if you provide some good music, you get a big credit!

Collecting sound effects

Do you have a cool sound effect? Maybe I can use it! If you have a sound that I can possibly use, you can submit that in the discord server. I want to know where sound effects come from (to check if they're legal to use).

Managing the wiki

As I'm busy with developing the mod, I don't have a lot of time to write wiki pages. You can find the wiki at https://the-modernity.fandom.com/wiki/The_Modernity_Wiki.

Making assets (textures, models, etc.)

If you like making models or textures, or some other kind of asset, feel free to submit some. When I like it, I'll add it to the mod (under your permission, of coarse).

Translating the mod

Translations are always appreciated. You can submit a translation by copying an existing translation file (you can find them at src/main/resources/assets/naturedbr/lang/), and translating it to your preferred language. I'd recommend copying en_us.json (US-English) which is always up to date (I update this one every mod update). When you made a translation file, submit it in an issue or pull request. If you can't upload a translation file to an issue, consider pasting it in a gist, and link to it in your issue. I'll include it as soon as possible.

Becoming a member of the development team

Currently, I'm the only one developing this mod (me = RedGalaxyShadeWisp, aka RGSW). I can do this myself, but if you're a modder and want to be a team member, you can contact me on the discord server (send me a private message if you want). Before I'll make you a member, I want to get you a bit introduced in what I'm working on and which guidelines should be followed, what you may and what you may not do. If I can use your help, I'll make you a member and you'll get an official credit.

Notes

Note that everything is open source and publicly available, so every contribution you make will be publicly available. If you don't want your contributed content to be publicly available, you must not contribute it. Also note that every contribution is voluntary: I'm not going to pay for any contribution. This also applies to dev team members.
