These services are the best places to start when you need help with IT-140 coursework, programming, course tools, or technical problems.
IT Basics Office Hours are best for asking questions about IT-140 coursework, assignments, projects, or course tools. Office hours are hosted by SNHU Learning Support Specialists (LSS), who are familiar with IT-140 and can access course content in D2L Brightspace, zyBooks, and Codio. Tip
Attend Office Hours live when you have a specific question. Office Hours are student-driven, so the topics covered depend on the questions asked by students who attend. If no students attend, there may be no recording. You may book a session without attending to access any recording that is created, but it may not cover the question you need answered.
The IT-140: Intro to Python workshop is best for reviewing IT-140 topics and practicing course concepts, with time available for questions. Book the first IT-140: Intro to Python workshop session each week (Weeks 1–8). Even if you do not attend, you will be able to retrieve the recording and watch it on demand.
24/7 Drop-in Tutoring is best for general Python and programming questions when you need help right away. Tutors work for Tutor.com, not SNHU directly. They know Python and programming but may not know IT-140 specifics or its assignments. Tutors cannot access course content in D2L Brightspace, zyBooks, or Codio. The help you receive may therefore depend on how much information you provide. For IT-140, select:
- Topic: Computer Science and Programming
- Subject: Programming: Python
- Voice-Chat: Select this option if you would like to speak with a tutor. Voice chat may not always be available during off-peak hours.
- Enter your question: Provide enough information for a tutor who knows Python but may not know IT-140 or its assignments. If your work has an assignment repository, include the repository URL. Otherwise, provide the relevant requirements from the assignment guidelines and rubric.
