Here is an overview of what ContextForge can do in version 1.0.0.
- Paste a YouTube URL and ContextForge loads the video's title, channel, and publication date.
- Work with up to three videos at once.
- ContextForge automatically finds the best available transcript for each video.
- Transcripts are cleaned up so the output is ready to use.
- Comes with starter prompts for common tasks, such as Instagram Post, LinkedIn Article, Study Notes, and Key Takeaways.
- Create, edit, and delete your own prompts.
- Mark prompts as Favorites so they appear at the top of the list.
- Set one prompt as your Default, which is selected automatically when the app starts.
- Assign prompts to Quick Access slots (⚡, ①, ②, ③) for faster switching.
- Write a Custom Prompt on the spot without saving it.
- Combine your prompt with the video transcripts into one block of text.
- The output includes an Inspiration section (video date and URL) and the cleaned transcripts.
- Copy the result to your clipboard.
- Export the result as a Markdown file.
- Clear the current session and start over.
- Smart Paste (⌘V) inserts a copied YouTube URL into the first empty video field.
- Duplicate videos are detected and rejected automatically.
- Keyboard shortcuts for common actions: ⌘R to generate, ⌘C to copy, ⌘⇧S to export, ⌘⌫ to clear.
- Choose an AI destination (such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini) from the list.
- ContextForge opens the destination in your browser so you can paste your output there.
- Mark your most-used destinations as favorites.
- ContextForge remembers which videos you have processed before.
- A small green dot in a video field shows that the video has been processed previously.
- The interface is available in English, Polish, and Spanish.
- ContextForge follows your system language automatically.
