Troubleshooting and bug reports
Unlock the device, reconnect it over USB, and accept its trust prompt. On Windows, install Apple Devices or iTunes. On Linux, ensure usbmuxd and libimobiledevice are installed and the usbmuxd service/socket is available. Then restart GoldenNugget and refresh the device list.
Keep the device connected and read the error shown in the app log. Do not delete the protective backup or cache while recovery may be needed. If the app is waiting for a device to return, unlock the device and allow it time to reconnect. Use Settings → Backup → Restore Data From Backup when you need to recover protected data.
Open Settings → About → Report a Bug to reach GitHub Issues. Include the app version, operating system, iOS version, exact steps, expected result, actual result, and relevant error text.
Use Settings → About → Export Diagnostics or Export Diagnostics in the log viewer. Review and edit the preview before saving or sharing the ZIP. It contains selected app details and a redacted log tail; it is saved locally and is not uploaded automatically. Avoid attaching backup files, pairing records, or secrets to a public issue.
