What is Prism?

Prism is an all-in-one Kodi addon for Movies, TV Shows, and Anime. It is a community-maintained fork of Seren with Simkl integration, discover browsing, themes, and a modular provider package system.

How do I install Prism?

See the Installation & Updates page. Install Context Prism first, then Prism, from the Prism Repository.

How do I update Prism?

Instructions are on the Installation & Updates page. After updating, clear cache and rebuild the database if needed (Prism → Tools).

Do I need Trakt?

No. Prism uses Simkl for watchlists, progress, and library sync — not Trakt.

Do I need a debrid account?

No. Debrid is optional. You can play local files, browse your debrid cloud (if configured), or use third-party provider packages. Debrid services supported include Real-Debrid, Premiumize, AllDebrid, TorBox, and Offcloud.

Does Prism include scrapers?

No. Prism does not bundle, host, or distribute scrapers. Third-party provider packages are installed separately by users via Provider Manager at their own discretion. Prism does not endorse or support any specific provider package.

How do I configure my Simkl watchlist?

Go to Prism → Settings → Accounts and authorize Simkl. Configure watchlist sync options in the same section.

How do I install a provider package?

Go to Prism → Tools → Provider Manager → Install Package. You can install from a web URL or browse to a local zip file. See Custom Providers for developers who want to build their own packages.

How do I manage my providers?

Open Prism → Tools → Provider Manager to enable/disable individual providers, install or uninstall packages, and check for updates.

Why is Prism not finding any sources?

  • Ensure your internet connection is stable
  • Verify that you have installed and enabled third-party provider packages (Prism does not include any by default)
  • Check that your debrid account is authorized if using debrid sources (Settings → Accounts)
  • Try Prism → Tools → Clear Cache and Rebuild Database

Why is my watchlist not updating?

Re-authorize Simkl in Settings → Accounts and verify watchlist sync settings are enabled.

Prism won't show season or episode lists and instead begins playing automatically?

In Settings → Playback, set Movie Play Style and Episode Play Style to Source Select if you want to choose a source manually. To stop auto-resuming to the next episode, disable Auto Resume Shows from Next Unwatched Episode under Playback → Resume.

My settings or data seem corrupted. What do I do?

Go to Prism → Tools and try Rebuild Database. If problems persist, use Wipe Addon Data (this resets local data — you'll need to re-authorize accounts). See Troubleshooting for more.

Where can I get help?

Can I use Prism to illegally view copyrighted material?

Prism and its developers do not condone the use of the addon or any third-party provider packages to access illegal copyright content. No assistance will be given to users identified to be using Prism for illegal purposes. Please respect copyright laws applicable in your country.
