🔧 Installation

To install the Prism Kodi addon, follow these steps:

  1. Add the Repository Source

    • Open Kodi and go to Settings → File Manager → Add source
    • Enter this URL: https://goldenfreddy0703.github.io/repository.prism
    • Name the source (e.g. "Prism Repo") and click OK

  2. Install the Repository

    • Go to Add-ons → Install from zip file
    • Select the source you added (e.g. "Prism Repo")
    • Install repository.prism

    Alternatively, download the zip directly:

  3. Install Context Prism (required)

    • Go to Add-ons → Install from repository → Prism Repository
    • Find and install Context Prism (context.prism)

  4. Install Prism

    • Still in Prism Repository, find and install Prism (plugin.video.prism)

  5. Configure Prism

    • Open Prism settings to set up Simkl, playback options, and preferences
    • See the Configuration page for a full settings guide

Early release: Some devices (e.g. Apple TV, Xbox) may have edge-case bugs. Report issues on GitHub Issues.

🔄 Updates

To keep Prism up to date:

  1. Auto-Updates (Recommended)

    • Prism updates automatically when installed from the repository
    • Ensure auto-update is enabled for addons in Kodi settings

  2. Manual Update

    • Go to Add-ons → My add-ons → Video add-ons → Prism
    • Select Update if a new version is available
    • Or reinstall from Prism Repository

  3. After Updates

    • Some updates require clearing cache and rebuilding the database
    • Go to Prism → Tools → Clear Cache and Prism → Tools → Rebuild Database

🛠️ Troubleshooting Installation Issues

If you encounter issues during installation:

  1. Check your internet connection — Ensure your device is online

  2. Verify the repository URL — Double-check for typos:

    https://goldenfreddy0703.github.io/repository.prism

  3. Clear Kodi cache

    • Use Prism → Tools → Clear Cache after installation
    • Or restart Kodi and try again

  4. Install order matters — Always install Context Prism before Prism
