FAQ

Where do I open it? At fox3-academy.pages.dev. It is free and needs no install or account.

Do I need DCS World installed? No. Fox3 Academy runs in a browser on its own. It teaches what you will see in DCS.

Is it affiliated with Eagle Dynamics? No. It is an independent fan project. DCS World is a trademark of its owner.

Does it replace flying in DCS? No. It is the classroom before the sortie: understand why the lock dropped, the shot missed or the JTAC refused to clear you, then go practise it in the game.

Can I fly the jet with a stick? Not a flight model. BVR pages use a tactical autopilot (heading, altitude, speed). Pattern & landing, Merge & guns and the attack pages let you fly by hand with the keyboard (arrows for the stick, DCS-style: Up pushes the nose down) or touch controls on a tablet.

Does it work on my phone? It is made for a desktop or a tablet. Phones get a short panel asking for a bigger screen.

Are the missile and weapon numbers real? They are DCS gameplay numbers: weapons are tuned to reproduce DCS launch zones and outcomes, not real-world weapon data. See Accuracy and Scope.

Can I open a sortie in Tacview? Yes. In the Sortie debrief, press Download ACMI and open the file in Tacview.

Where is my progress saved? In your browser's local storage, per jet. Nothing is sent anywhere.

My jet is missing. Open an issue with the new-jet label, or add it yourself: see Jets and Contributing.

Something is wrong compared to DCS. Open a "Differs from DCS" issue with evidence and the DCS version. Accuracy reports are the most useful contribution there is.
