Jets
Twelve DCS aircraft are covered: ten fighters and two attack jets. Pick one in the top bar and every page adapts: radar modes and their cockpit labels, TWS rules, weapons, RWR, key bindings and units.
| Jet | Module | Developer | Skin and units |
|---|---|---|---|
| Su-27 | Flaming Cliffs 3 | Eagle Dynamics | Russian, metric |
| Su-33 | Flaming Cliffs 3 | Eagle Dynamics | Russian, metric |
| J-11A | Flaming Cliffs 3 | Eagle Dynamics | Russian, metric |
| MiG-29S | Flaming Cliffs 3 | Eagle Dynamics | Russian, metric |
| F-15C | Flaming Cliffs 3 | Eagle Dynamics | Western, imperial |
| F/A-18C | Full fidelity | Eagle Dynamics | Western, imperial |
| F-16C | Full fidelity | Eagle Dynamics | Western, imperial |
| F-14B | Full fidelity | Heatblur | Western, imperial |
| JF-17 | Full fidelity | Deka Ironwork | Western, imperial |
| M-2000C | Full fidelity | Razbam | Western, imperial |
Fighters fly the BVR modules (Learn, Radar, TWS, Missiles, Defense, RWR, Sortie), Pattern & landing and Merge & guns. The F/A-18C also has its own HARM & SEAD tab. The Learn bar shows each jet only the pages it can open.
| Jet | Module | Developer | Skin and units | Its own tab |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Su-25T | Free (FC3 avionics) | Eagle Dynamics | Russian, metric | Shkval & Vikhr |
| A-10C II | Full fidelity | Eagle Dynamics | Western, imperial | Targeting pod & Mavericks |
Attack jets have no air-to-air radar. They fly their own tab and CAS & JTAC.
Units can be switched at any time with the button next to the jet selector.
- Radar: scan patterns, TWS capacity, whether you can launch from TWS, and quirks such as the FC3 Russian СНП auto-lock at 85 % Rmax, the MiG-29S two-target СНП2 R-77 shot, Phoenix launch modes on the F-14B, and no multi-target TWS on the M-2000C.
- Jamming: the jam symbol on your radar, your burn-through range, which missiles can home on jam, and whether you have a jammer of your own (the J-11A has none).
-
IFF: automatic on the F-15C and the Su-27 family; an interrogation elsewhere (Viper TMS Left, Hornet on
designate, F-14 and JF-17
I, M-2000CS). - Datalink: Link 16 on the Hornet and Viper, Link 4 on the F-14, the JF-17 link, the AWACS picture on the FC3 Russian jets, none on the F-15C and M-2000C.
- RWR: SPO-15 lamp panel on Russian jets, the round scope on Western jets (ALR-67, ALR-56M, ALR-69 on the A-10C II, ...), each with its own symbols.
- Keys: FC3 keyboard defaults, or HOTAS function names on full-fidelity modules.
- Weapons: each jet's loadout, with launch-zone numbers from DCS.
- 3D model: every jet has its own exterior model, built with the same Blender pipeline.
Adding an aircraft is a well-defined task: data, bindings, RWR symbols, a model and per-jet radar rules. See
Contributing and the "Add a jet" section of
AGENTS.md, then open an
issue with the new-jet label so others can join in.
