A default skin is shown to every player on the server who hasn't selected a skin of their own, for example a uniform for a roleplay server.
Dashboard → Servers → your server → Skins & packs → Default skin: upload a skin file (PNG, 64×64 or 64×32). It is applied to all players without their own skin right away.
The default skin doesn't count towards the players' skin limit, and players can't see or delete it in the editor.
| Command | Effect |
|---|---|
Select their own skin (editor or /skincreator choose) |
Their own skin is shown instead of the default skin |
/skincreator reset |
The player gets their normal Minecraft skin and keeps it, also on the next join |
/skincreator default |
The player gets the default skin again. If they have selected their own skin, they have to run /skincreator reset first. |
With Block vanilla/minecraft.net skin reset, players can't use /skincreator reset. They always wear the default skin or one of their own skins. This option is only available while a default skin is set; removing the default skin turns it off.
