MCLA 4iOS 1.0.4 — Metal Startup Hotfix
Hotfix for a confirmed shader deployment mismatch behind Xbox/AOT runtime setup failed. The reported log showed the FSR library being rejected by the device OS, followed by GPU setup failed.
FSR and all 603 title Metal shader libraries have been rebuilt with an explicit iOS 18.0 minimum instead of inheriting iOS 27 from the development SDK. Shader-cache stamps now include the deployment policy, and release packaging rejects libraries targeting an OS newer than the app minimum. The optional SMAA build uses the same policy.
Download MCLA-4iOS-1.0.4.ipa and re-sign using your own account. Version 1.0.4, build 6. Keep the same bundle identifier and signing account to preserve app data. No original game files are included.
Export Logs remains included. If startup still fails, turn Graphics → Retail Mode OFF, fully close and reopen MCLA, reproduce the failure and export the ZIP.
The build, signatures, all shader deployment targets, IPA integrity and checksums are verified. A real-compiler regression rejects the original SDK-default target and accepts the explicit iOS 18 target. Physical-device confirmation on the reporting phone remains pending.
Mac Game Prep is unchanged; use the 1.0.2 download.
MCLA 4iOS 1.0.3 — Export Logs
Adds Export Logs to the launcher. It creates a ZIP containing existing runtime and performance logs plus device, iOS/app version, settings and failure details. Save it to Files or share it directly, including after a failed startup.
For detailed startup diagnostics: turn Graphics → Retail Mode OFF, fully close and reopen MCLA, reproduce the error, then tap Export Logs. Game files, saves and caches are excluded.
Download MCLA-4iOS-1.0.3.ipa and re-sign with your own account. Version 1.0.3, build 5. This adds diagnostics; it does not claim to fix the reported Xbox/AOT startup failure.
Validated ARM64 Release build, strict signing, 603 native Metal libraries, ZIP integrity/exclusion regressions, iPhone portrait/landscape menu layout, and simulated failed-launch ZIP sharing. Physical-device export remains unverified.
The Mac Game Prep app is unchanged and remains available in the 1.0.2 release. No original game files are included.
MCLA 4iOS 1.0.2 — Mac Game Prep
MCLA 4iOS 1.0.2 — Mac Game Prep and expanded game compatibility
October 8, 2026. Marketing version 1.0.2, build 4. Windows coming soon.
Downloads
- MCLA-4iOS-1.0.2.ipa — iPhone/iPad release, iOS/iPadOS 18.0+, ARM64. Re-sign with your own Apple account before installation.
- MCLA-Game-Prep-1.0.2-macOS.zip — standalone preparation app, macOS 13+, Apple silicon and Intel, with a quick-start guide.
- release-manifest.json and SHA256SUMS.txt — artifact identity, compatibility and integrity information.
Original game files and personal signing profiles are not included. Use your own Xbox 360 Complete Edition game copy. The game-data preparation download is a Mac app; the IPA is the device app.
All changes in this update
- Add MCLA Game Prep, a native Mac companion with a related disc/road/download icon and a main screen showing the expected Complete Edition, Xbox 360 platform and USA / NTSC-U region.
- Add a clearly marked cyan drag-and-drop area for one ISO, RAR, ZIP, 7z or extracted game folder. Click the area or Choose Game… to select or change the input; the app shows the selected path.
- Discover a single neighboring ISO automatically. Perform that directory scan in the background so macOS directory-access delays cannot freeze startup before the window appears.
- Read Xbox XDVDFS directly without mounting. Support game-partition images and common full raw-disc partition offsets. Detect PS3 ISO metadata and show a specific platform explanation.
- Unpack archives using macOS libarchive, or copy an extracted folder. Accept a direct game root or a single wrapped game folder. An archive containing an ISO must be unpacked first, then the ISO can be selected.
- Produce the complete, lowercase
MCLA_Game_Fileslayout beside the selected input, including movies and other files. Add a preparation report, progress/cancel controls and Show in Finder. - Preserve existing output folders. Stage work temporarily and remove unfinished extraction after errors or cancellation. Reject unsafe paths, links, special files, duplicate names, malformed disc directories and truncated payloads; check space while unpacking.
- Expand the compatibility manifest and command-line validator to accept the exact
0F1CB201/0.0.0.13executable fingerprint alongside the5940C9DB/0.0.0.8baseline. The alternate copy's full program payload and loading configuration match the compiled iOS game code despite header differences. - Reject unverified
default.xexptitle-update patches. No title update is required or applied for the supported copies. - Package a fresh 1.0.2 / build 4 release IPA with the updated manifest. Add detailed preparation, compatibility, transfer and troubleshooting documentation and reproducible synthetic archive fixtures.
This update retains the 1.0.1 controls, icon, minimap corrections and CPU optimizations. It introduces no new gameplay, graphics or measured FPS improvement; existing known issues remain.
How to use the Mac applet
- Unzip MCLA-Game-Prep-1.0.2-macOS.zip and open MCLA Game Prep.app. It can sit beside the ISO or run from another location. No Homebrew, Python, extra extractor or internet connection is needed. The app is ad-hoc signed and not notarized; macOS may require Open Anyway in Privacy & Security.
- Drag your Xbox 360 Complete Edition ISO, archive or extracted folder onto Drop your game here, or click Choose Game…. A PS3 copy is incompatible.
- Click Prepare Game Folder. Wait for MCLA_Game_Files is ready to copy. If an output already exists, move it aside first. Use Cancel to stop or Show in Finder to locate the finished folder.
- Install and re-sign the release IPA, open MCLA once, then close it before transfer. Copy the entire output folder to Files → On My iPhone/iPad → MCLA → MCLA_Game_Files. On Mac, use Finder → device → Files → MCLA.
default.xexbelongs directly inside that folder; do not add anotherDocumentsdirectory. - Wait for copying to finish, reopen MCLA and check for READY TO DRIVE.
Keep the same signing account and bundle identifier when updating; back up saves before deleting the app. Full instructions: Game Prep guide and installation guide.
Validation and limits
A real RAR containing an extracted Xbox 360 game folder completed through the Mac UI; all 12 output files matched an independent preparation byte for byte. The alternate executable's program payload is identical to the baseline. Audio/music archives and all six movies also match. The cache has the same 22,068 file entries and identical directory structure: 22,057 entries match, 11 differ, and the newer archive fixes three out-of-bounds entries in the older copy.
Synthetic checks cover raw-disc offsets, extraction bytes, supported input selection, PS3 detection, compatibility rejection, unsafe archive paths/links/collisions, cancellation and unverified update patches. The alternate copy is expected compatible, but physical iPhone/iPad gameplay with it remains untested. Arbitrary same-title executables or title updates are not automatically supported.
Windows coming soon. No Windows preparation executable is included in 1.0.2.
MCLA 4iOS 1.0.1 — Bugfixes and CPU Performance Improvements
MCLA 4iOS 1.0.1
Bugfix and CPU performance update, October 7, 2026. Marketing version 1.0.1, build 3.
- New app icon provided by Ricioly.
- Rotating minimap borders and GPS decorations receive the map's translation and scale, including mixed primitive batches.
- Hold a control and pinch anywhere to resize it; supported sizes range from 35% to 250% of the authored size, bounded by the screen.
- Skip Intro Videos defaults on. The startup hook preserves SWF construction and context before requesting the game's natural skip. The switch is available under Play Mode.
- Reuse converted geometry across shader/declaration combinations with identical ordered byte conversions.
- Prepare only shader-consumed vertex streams, refreshing deferred bindings when needed.
- Coalesce adjacent shader-constant snapshot ranges while preserving byte-exact comparisons.
- Resolve the embedded SDK version from its own checkout so app release tags do not break builds.
These changes reduce redundant CPU preparation. A matched warm-device comparison has not established a sustained FPS improvement. Title-logo visual acceptance, camera refocus-like blur, missing shaders, road/checkpoint/fade reports and new-game ride height remain open; see Known Issues and the performance audit.
Update with the same signing identity and bundle identifier to retain game data, saves and preferences. The public IPA contains no original game files or personal provisioning profile and must be re-signed by the recipient.

MCLA 4iOS 1.0
Custom touch controls, continuous driving slides, raised map/speed panels and the audited red-light glow correction for iPhone and iPad.
README · Detailed changelog · UI/feature guide · Known issues
New in this release
- Scalable cyan native touch artwork, split gas/drift pedal and steering base/knob.
- Continuous Gas ↔ Gas + Handbrake ↔ Brake slides; the drift/brake midpoint combines all three driving inputs.
- Weight can retain the previous driving input during a slide and releases when the finger leaves its button.
- Approved M5 layout as the default, saved edits retained, editable positions/sizes and palette actions.
- Larger minimap at the upper left and speed/RPM at the upper right; padded map border uses the same transform as the fill.
- Fresh Weight, Lights, music-track and pause/play icons.
- Corrected two post-tonemap glow passes that changed red signals to blue/purple; Metal tests pass and M5 gameplay was user-confirmed.
- Expanded README, detailed changelog, feature guide and validation record.
Included foundation
Native ARM64 AOT execution, a handwritten Metal backend and 603 offline native shader libraries; controller/touch/tilt support; save import/export; scene-resolution/filter/bloom/blur controls; optional spatial FSR 1; Retail Mode and bounded diagnostics; standard 30 FPS and experimental real-frame 60 FPS.
Download and install
Download MCLA-4iOS-1.0.ipa and re-sign it with your own account using Sideloadly or AltStore Classic. No original game files are included. Supply your own complete Xbox 360 Complete Edition extraction in MCLA_Game_Files inside the MCLA Files container. The executable must sit directly in that folder. See installation instructions.
The IPA contains no personal provisioning profile and requires recipient signing. SHA256SUMS.txt and release-manifest.json identify the artifact and source commit. iOS/iPadOS 18 is the deployment minimum; gameplay testing is limited to Air/M5 and does not certify every compatible OS/device. Export your saves and preserve your signing account/bundle identifier when updating.
Validation and limits
Version 1.0 is a milestone, not a claim of complete original-game accuracy. Controls were exercised on M5 and in the native harness. The padded-border transform regression passes and that build was installed on Air/M5; the final installed alignment screenshot was pending. The validation record lists build, test and package evidence.
Two shader programs remain missing. Road shimmer, some checkpoint smoke/colors, fades, new-game ride height and broader warm-device/60 FPS behavior need work. Small blue/purple street-name signs exist in original source textures; green freeway boards are separate. Road sun-reflection math is present, but matching visual coverage at the same time/weather/view remains outstanding. No MetalFX frame generation, online-play acceptance or standard-build SMAA feature is claimed.

Download and install
Download MCLA-4iOS-0.1.0.ipa, sign it with your own account using Sideloadly or AltStore Classic, then provide your own extracted Xbox 360 Complete Edition files in Documents/MCLA_Game_Files/. No game data is included. The IPA contains no personal provisioning profile or signing identity and must be re-signed for your device. A checksum file is provided.
Initial gameplay testing covers iPhone Air and M5 iPad Pro. The build minimum is iOS/iPadOS 18.0; other devices are unverified. A demonstration of approximately 58 FPS is not a guarantee of locked 60 FPS in every scene or after throttling.
Known bugs
Blue distant light glows remain unresolved. Two shader programs observed in the latest M5 run are not yet included: VS D866F0D1394908B8 and PS F1DAD9A46DA1A834. Road flicker, checkpoint smoke/colors, full-screen fades, a new-game rear-wheel/ride-height report and video/60 FPS/thermal behavior still need broader regression testing. See the full known-bugs list.
