SMTP Settings
This section allows you to configure the sender account that will be used to send alert emails to up to four different recipients.
To ensure that alerts are sent correctly, be sure to configure the sending rules for the desired sources on the main page of the interface.

Enable SMTP service |
Allows you to enable or disable the SMTP service used to send alert emails. |
SMTP Host |
In this field, indicate the hostname used by your email provider for the SMTP service. If you don't know it, a quick search online will most likely help you to find it. |
SMTP Port |
Indicate the port used by your email provider for the SMTP serivce in this field. If you don't know it, a quick search online will most likely help you to find it. |
SMTP Username |
Indicate your SMTP username in this field. This is usually the part of your email address that comes before the @ symbol. For example, if your email address is "ipaudio-alerts@myradiostation.com", your username is most likely "ipaudio-alerts". |
SMTP Password |
Indicate your SMTP password in this field. This is usually the password you use to log in to your email account. |
Sender Email |
Enter the email address that will be used to send the alerts. |
Use TLS Protocol |
Check this box if you want to use the TLS protocol. Leave it unchecked if you are using the STARTTLS method (which typically uses port 587). |
Delay before sending an alert (seconds) |
Enter the number of seconds to wait before sending an email if an anomaly is detected in one of your sources. This includes the time that has elapsed since the anomaly began. |
Interval between alert emails (minutes) |
This rule instructs the decoder to wait for the specified number of minutes before sending a new alert. This prevents you from receiving too many alerts in a short period of time. |
Recipients |
This is the list of all the recipients you want to send alerts to. You can specify up to 4 different recipients. |
Once the SMTP service has been configured, it is strongly recommended running a test to ensure that email delivery is working properly.
To do this, be sure to save your settings by clicking the "Save Changes" button, then click the "Send Test Email" button.
If you receive a test email, it means the service is configured correctly and you will now be able to receive alerts if an issue is encountered with one of your sources.
If the test fails, a detailed error message will appear. In this case, please check your configuration details and try again.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: If you have enabled the SMTP service, NEVER send your server configuration file to anyone.
The SMTP password is stored in plain text within the file.
