StepReceipt v0.4.0
StepReceipt v0.4.0 connects Browser Agent Blueprint’s persisted write-ahead guard with StepReceipt’s browser action record, independent readback, CLI gate, and standalone HTML report.
- Run the optional local integration with
npm ci,npx playwright install chromium, andnpm run demo:blueprint -- --out artifacts/blueprint-demo. - Includes three actual localhost browser cases: saved-after-timeout, unavailable readback that stays unknown, and an unguarded retry that creates a duplicate.
- Adds bilingual reproduction guides, real report screenshots, and static report demos.
- Records custom Error subclass names while still omitting error messages and stacks.
- The core recorder has no runtime dependencies. The Blueprint source is a development-only dependency pinned to commit
630d773c44cc41f35128d14344a77339906b9504.
Validation: 10 core tests and all three real-browser integration cases passed locally; GitHub Actions and GitHub Pages completed successfully for commit b82497a83621596fc012f973ef3b34ba555d41b9. The new integration reloads its journal into a fresh controller in the same process; the separate LangGraph example covers process restart. These synthetic fixtures do not establish behavior on production websites or external adoption.
Install the CLI/library from the tagged GitHub source: npm install github:LydiaTools/stepreceipt#v0.4.0.
StepReceipt v0.3.0
StepReceipt now installs directly from GitHub as a CLI and JavaScript package.
- Install:
npm install github:LydiaTools/stepreceipt#v0.3.0 - CLI:
stepreceipt <run.json> [--out report.html | --summary report.md] [--check] - Import
createReceipt, normalizeRun, andrenderReportfrom the package exports. - Includes the LangGraph process-restart example and bilingual usage docs.
Validated locally, installed from the GitHub commit in a clean temporary prefix, and passed the repository's CI tests and Pages build.
v0.2.0 — Recorded-check CI gates and three browser cases
StepReceipt v0.2.0 puts recorded observations into a CI gate, with three real browser failure cases.
- Markdown summaries and
--check: 0 for a non-empty run whose observations are all verified, 1 for empty/rejected/unknown, 2 for invalid input or output errors. - Three isolated localhost fixtures: saved after a timeout; a false UI confirmation with no record; a readback service outage. Each makes one POST and never retries it.
- The viewer opens a failed/unknown write first and shows failed checks separately. English/Chinese UI and docs remain included.
- This repository's GitHub Actions workflow displays the summaries and keeps synthetic HTML/JSON reports for seven days.
Try the saved-after-timeout report, false-confirmation report, or unknown-outcome report. See CI usage.
Local validation: 9 core/CLI tests passed; all three real-browser scenarios and report import/export, language, mobile and injection checks passed. GitHub-hosted results are available in the commit's Actions runs.
The gate evaluates checks supplied by the integration; it is not independent certification and does not detect every misleading test. No action replay, native agent adapter, npm publication, or production reliability claim is included.
The ZIP is source plus lightweight synthetic assets, not an installer. Node.js 20+ renders the bundled JSON without dependencies; running the browser fixtures also requires the documented Playwright development setup. MIT; no runtime dependencies. Verify the ZIP with the accompanying SHA-256 file.
StepReceipt v0.1.0 — See what happened after the click
A browser action timed out. What did your follow-up check find?
StepReceipt records one-time JavaScript actions and separate observations, then renders a standalone HTML report with English/Chinese controls.
- CLI rendering: Node.js 20+, zero runtime dependencies.
- Demo: actual localhost Playwright run, one POST, one saved record, one tool timeout.
- Local checks: seven core/CLI tests and real-browser report import, offline export/reopen, mobile layout and injection checks passed.
- No npm publication or native browser-use/Stagehand/Codex/MCP adapter validation yet. Caller-supplied checks are not independently certified.
