Mo’Joins needs Paper 26.3 or a fork of it, like Purpur, on Java 25. PlaceholderAPI, MiniPlaceholders, and Plan are optional.

Pick one of the two ways below.

With Docker (recommended)

If your server runs in itzg/minecraft-server, the container downloads Mo’Joins from Modrinth by itself.

  1. Name mojoins in MODRINTH_PROJECTS:

    services:
      minecraft:
        image: itzg/minecraft-server:java25
        environment:
          EULA: "TRUE"
          TYPE: PAPER
          VERSION: "26.3"
          MODRINTH_PROJECTS: |
            mojoins
        ports: ["25565:25565"]
        volumes: ["./data:/data"]
  2. Start it: docker compose up -d.

To pin a version, write mojoins:2.3.1 instead of mojoins. The optional plugins go on the same list, one per line: placeholderapi, plan.

To take Mo’Joins from GitHub instead of Modrinth, use PLUGINS: https://github.com/MairwunNx/mojoins/releases/latest/download/mojoins.jar. That link always points at the newest release.

By hand

  1. Download the jar from Modrinth, Hangar, or GitHub.
  2. Put it in your server’s plugins/ folder.
  3. Restart the server.

Check that it runs

The server log shows a line like this on start:

[MoJoins] Mo’Joins 2.3.1 is on: de, en, es, pt, ru, default en
