DAY 6 – Final Prototyping and Testing

On Day 6, the EMG-Based Arcade Gaming System reached its final prototyping stage. All major hardware components, including the ESP32 microcontroller, four EMG sensors, battery, charging module, OLED display, and supporting circuitry, were successfully integrated into the custom-designed casing. Special attention was given to component placement and wire management to ensure a compact, neat, and reliable final assembly.

Extensive testing was carried out on the fully assembled device. All four EMG sensors were connected and tested under different conditions to verify signal accuracy and consistency. The sensors successfully detected muscle activity and transmitted reliable signals to the ESP32, which correctly converted them into game control inputs. Multiple gameplay trials were conducted, and the system performed smoothly with minimal latency and no significant false triggers. The games responded accurately to user muscle movements, confirming the effectiveness of both the hardware and software integration.

In addition to testing, the enclosure design was further improved. Version 2.1 of the casing was finalized and prepared for 3D printing. The updated design reduced the overall height of the enclosure by approximately 30 mm, making the device more compact and comfortable to use while still providing sufficient space for all internal components. These refinements improved both functionality and aesthetics, resulting in a polished and fully operational prototype ready for presentation and evaluation.
