1.2 beta 2
Pre-release
Pre-release
Second test build of network play. It fixes everything found in the first phone-against-PC test.
Fixed
- Network play between a phone and a PC went out of sync. Android builds left out three of the compiler's atomic helpers, which rollback uses to record what changed each frame. Rollback on a phone then restored the wrong memory. A phone and a PC have now played 10,000 frames together with no difference.
- A crash during a match (“stack smashing detected”) when a stage drew its dawn sky.
- A crash at the end of every network game, when the message saying how it ended was drawn.
- EXIT on the NETWORK page now goes back to the mode menu.
- Closing the game during a match now tells the other player, so they don't wait for the connection to time out.
Everything else is as in 1.2 beta 1: NETWORK in the mode menu, LANGUAGE in GAME OPTION, and one re-import on first start. Over the internet, the host's router must forward UDP port 33133.
The Android package is signed like 1.1, so it installs over it.
