This release brings masterwork recommendation matching (so you can easily see if your equipped masterwork matches Aegis's pick), stackable search filters with interactive search pills, a quick-filter widget in the search bar, and performance optimizations.

What's New in v1.6.0

Additions

• Masterwork Recommendation Matching: Added equipped masterwork detection! The overlay now checks your equipped masterwork and compares it to Aegis's recommendations. If it matches, it lights up in gold with a checkmark (✓ Reload), and if it doesn't match, it displays as an outline (☆ Handling). (I also extended this to the item hover card under Rec MW:).

• Filter Stacking & Interactive Search Pills: You can now combine aegis:... filters directly with native DIM search queries (like is:handcannon aegis:god). Active Aegis filters turn into clickable pills in the search bar that you can clear anytime.

• Search Bar Quick-Filter Widget: Added a quick dropdown widget inside DIM's search bar so you can toggle tier filters with a single click without having to type search syntax manually.

• In-Popup Changelog Modal: Added a simple release notes popup inside the extension menu so you can view what changed after updating (you can re-open it anytime from the document button in the header).

Fixes & Improvements

• Performance & Screen Edge Fix: Added animation batching and other optimizations so browsing large vault grids feels much smoother, and fixed tooltips and popups getting cut off near the edges of your screen.

• Console Cleanup: Removed all the spammy diagnostic logs from the browser console to keep developer tools clean.

This release brings major accuracy fixes for reprised/re-issued weapons (BRAVE, Pantheon, and Rite of the Nine and High Albedo) and a new toggle setting for item hover cards because some requested it.

Additions

• Reprised weapon matching: Fixed a bug where re-issued/reprised weapons would show the recommended perks of the wrong version. So BRAVE and RotN weapons would show the recommended version of the raid variants instead. (Please keep me updated if any more weapons still have this problem. I added a multistep verification with origin traits to fix this but something might slip through)
  No Blast Furnace isn't bugged, Aegis only has one version ranked (Arena Ops)

• Item Hover Card Tooltip Toggle: Added a new Item Hover Card Tooltip toggle switch in the extension settings popup under Scoring Engine & Layout.

Fixes

• Incorrect injection of the rank badge and hover: Resolved a layout bug where rank badges and their hover were rendering on top of other unrelated buttons.

v1.5.3 - First-Time User Welcome Tour, filter additions, performance update, and some fixes

Release v1.5.3

New release of the DIM Aegis Overlay extension. I added a first-time welcome tutorial to showcase most of the features present, a new upgrade-able weapon search, ammo type filters in the Aegis Database Explorer (suggested by @harmerTM), and a layout fix for rating badges overlapping mod sockets (reported by @heroicxidiot). All of this alongside a performance improvement, especially for firefox, contributed by @Johnnycyan (thank youuuu)

Additions

• First-Time User Welcome Tour: Added a dismissable overlay welcome tutorial that triggers when launching DIM with the extension for the first time. It guides new users through the most, if not all, features of the extension.

• "Upgradeable" filter (aegis:upgrade): Added a custom filter query so you can quickly identify weapons in your inventory that can be upgraded to a higher rating tier simply by equipping different perks/traits in their columns.

• Ammo Type Filtering: Added a quick-select filter for Primary, Special, and Heavy ammunition types at the top of the Database Explorer.

v1.5.0 - Chase List Feature, small filtering fixes

Release v1.5.0

This is a stable release of the DIM Aegis Overlay extension. It introduces a brand new Chase List tab to track your targeted weapon rolls alongside being able to mark weapons in the Database explorer as "completed/checked-off"; this is for completionists, and maybe it might evolve to a shopping list in later updates depending on how it is received.
This also fixes some filtering issues present with the default DIM filters where it didn't hide the badges.
Hopefully a fix for some missing armor matching ? I pray it works well

Brand New "My Chase List" Feature

• Pin Your Weapons: You can now search for any weapon in the Database Explorer and click + Chase to pin it to your own personal Chase List. (This was inspired by a suggestion from someone on Reddit, and it makes tracking the rolls you're actively hunting much easier!)

Direct Completion Checkboxes

• Mark as Done: Added a checklist checkbox directly to the header of your chase cards and the Database Explorer. Toggling a weapon's completion status in your Chase List will automatically check it off in the Database Explorer, update your overall progress tracker, and write everything to your local extension storage.

Fixes

• Spreadsheet Sync Fix: Fixed a bug where Chrome appended session cookies to Google Sheets CSV export requests in the background, causing CORS/CSP blocks. Setting the fetch credentials option to "omit" resolved this, restoring background synchronization.
• Filtering fix: Fixed a bug where the default DIM filters wouldn't dim(HAHA) the badges alongside the weapon portrait.
• Missing matching for some armors: Hopefully fixed a problem with unsuccessful matching of certain armor pieces. It should show the badge correctly now

Dimming of Filtered Badges:

When weapons or armor items are filtered out via search filters, their respective tier overlay badges are now correctly dimmed to matching opacity alongside the item card. Thanks to the person that reported it!

KNOWN ISSUES:

The settings menu still shows "1.4.0" and pressing it will say an update is available even if you downloaded this latest version. Will fix with a new version later. Pardon my dust <3

This is a stable release of the DIM Aegis Overlay extension. It introduces Aegis's own armor set bonus database with an optional toggle, universal search comparison operators for weapons, perks and armor set bonuses, a manual spreadsheet resync button, GitHub update checks on version click, and a fix to resolve duplicate inline cards.

Aegis Armor Set Bonuses Integration

• Aegis Spreadsheet Support: Added Aegis's own "Set Bonuses" tab database as an optional toggle alongside the LowCo armor ratings! Aegis has his own ratings for set bonuses in his master sheet, so now you can choose between the two databases. I also made sure it copies the "how to get" source and activity details from the LowCo sheet so you still know exactly where to acquire the armor! (Merging the separate 2-piece and 4-piece rows from Aegis's sheet was a bit tricky but it works perfectly now.)

Universal Search Filter Operators

• Comparison Support: Added support for >, >=, <, and <= comparison operators across all filters. E.g. you can search aegis:p:>=b to filter for perks that are B-tier or better, or aegis:w:>a for weapons rated higher than A.
• (Someone asked if there was a way to search for perk tier B and higher, and I realized this was a fantastic idea. I made it universal so it works for weapons, perks, and armor set ratings! I also added "a" in the middle so it matches "w" and "p" like the other filters.)

Settings UI & Sync Upgrades

• Manual Spreadsheet Resync: Added a standalone "Resync Spreadsheets" button at the very top of the popup menu so you can manually trigger an update on-demand.
• Interactive Update Checker: You can now click on the version badge in the popup header to check if there is an update available on GitHub!
• No More Alert Popups: Replaced those ugly browser alert boxes with clean, inline success and failure status messages so they don't disrupt you.
• Filtering Help Section: Cleaned up the Vault Search Filtering help guide into a categorized grid layout with high-contrast code badges to make it much easier to read.

Inline Card Layout Fixes

• Race Condition Resolution: Fixed a race condition where having recommended perks displayed inline would cause the card to duplicate and render three times. (This should be fully fixed now!)

Light.gg Connector Reliability

• Race Condition Resolution: Fixed a major timing issue where the Light.gg API interceptor caught inventory grades before the extension content script was fully loaded. By synchronizing their injection timing, the extension now captures rolls and displays badges reliably for all items, including new and paginated weapons. (Reported by a user and I hope it works better for them now and Light.gg syncing should be more consistent!)

• Scraper Efficiency: DOM scans are now deferred until the page structure is interactive, reducing browser memory usage and script execution overhead during loading.

Spreadsheet Parser Resiliency

• Header Fallback Support: Added smart fallback mapping for custom column headers. This resolves an issue where Breech-loaded Grenade Launchers (BGLs) were missing Barrel and Perk 1 entries, and ensures weapon energy types parse correctly for Pulse Rifles and SMGs.
  (This was reported by a user and found that it affected other categories. It's a spreadsheet parsing problem as some of the headers are not consistent. This should fix it.)

Settings Popup Cleanups

• Optimized Interface: Removed the unused "Search Wishlist" section as it was redundant because of the existence of the "Aegis Database Explorer"; doing that also reduced the extension's compiled JavaScript footprint.
• Ko-Fi Link: Added a Ko-Fi button next to the GitHub button in the header. Nothing is obligatory but if anyone wants to donate <3 Just using the extension is already enough for me, though. Much love!
