Download the Expanded Enchantments file that matches both your loader and your Minecraft version. Not every loader is available for every version at the same time; the download page lists the files that exist.
Put Expanded Enchantments and (on Fabric) Fabric API into your mods folder and start the game.
The mod is needed on the server and on every client.
- Put the same files into the server's
modsfolder. - Start the server once. It writes
config/expanded_enchantments.json. - Change what you like – see Configuration – then restart the server.
Each player's own settings (tooltips, Winging fall distance, Magnetic filter) live on their computer, not on the server. See Settings and Keys.
Your config is kept when you update. New settings are added with their default values. If something looks wrong after an update, delete config/expanded_enchantments.json to get fresh defaults.
Updating to 1.0.0 from an older version:
- Agility, Runner and Attacker are now optional and off for new installations. An existing config keeps them switched on, so gear you already own keeps working.
- Logs you placed yourself are now remembered per world, so Forrester keeps your log builds safe in every world.
