Getting Started
Expanded Enchantments works like vanilla enchanting. There is nothing to unlock first – you will run into the new enchantments as soon as you start enchanting.
- Enchanting Table – the new enchantments are part of the normal pool. Higher levels need more bookshelves, as usual.
- Books – enchanted books from chests and librarians can carry them too. Combine a book with an item on an anvil.
- Elytra and shields cannot go into the Enchanting Table. Enchant a book and use the anvil.
Finding Enchantments lists every source, including the structures and bosses that hold specific books.
Hover an enchanted item or book and hold Shift. Every enchantment from this mod then shows a line with its exact effect at its current level. Without Shift you only see a short hint, so long tooltips stay readable. You can turn the Shift requirement off in the settings.
The anvil works as usual, with one difference: it never says "Too Expensive!". Every anvil action costs at most 30 levels (the server owner can change both, see Configuration).
Got a great enchantment on the wrong item? The Enchantment Extraction Table pulls it off onto a book, so you can put it somewhere else. With a Curse Breaker it even removes curses.
