Release list
OMERO.Analysis 1.0.1
OMERO.Analysis 1.0.1 aligns the dark interface with the Blueprint 5 palette and ships rebuilt frontend bundles with the complete self-hosted browser-Python runtime.
- Use Blueprint colors consistently across dark workspace surfaces, controls, borders and secondary text, while preserving the existing light theme and scientific image pixels.
- Check the actual stylesheet palette and text contrast in regression tests.
- Keep application, runtime, frontend and plugin versions synchronized at 1.0.1 and document ordinary versioned PyPI installation alongside verified GitHub Release wheels.
Validation: 295 frontend tests, 278 local backend tests (external compatibility tests run in the release workflow), TypeScript/build checks and complete runtime validation. The local UI was tested in authenticated Chrome and accepted by the maintainer. A BIOMERO/Slurm smoke workflow also completed, including a readable 983-label result image and DuckDB measurement attachment in OMERO.
Companion integration fixes for navigation guards, upload lifecycle, staged attachments and monitor renewal belong to OMERO.biomero PR #34; these host changes are not installed by upgrading Analysis alone. Deployment follows NL-BIOMERO PR #45. Both PRs remain subject to review and are not merged by this release. Viewer changes are outside this release.
All release checks passed. The validated wheel and SHA-256 manifest are attached below, and the identical Analysis wheel is available on PyPI through GitHub Actions Trusted Publishing. Its size is 70,290,849 bytes and SHA-256 is 1cd749743f267eea9cd92d797a602f229f1a7c83f0c88bd96ae5b2142d47bc63. The notebook SDK retains its independent version, 0.2.0.
OMERO.Analysis 1.0.0
OMERO.Analysis 1.0.0 provides reusable Methods, Pipelines and portable Python notebooks in an authenticated OMERO workspace, with offline browser execution and optional server-side queries for large measurement files.
This release includes whole-notebook source editing, template filename discovery, separate figure cells and PNG/SVG/CSV companions, parameter/input-specific result retention, recoverable superseded outputs, repair of redundant dataset attachments, and remote input recovery across reloads and temporary worker failures. ZarrViewer review exports use the measured result's store identity.
The release includes notebook SDK 0.2.0, distributed independently in the same checksum manifest. Install the verified GitHub Release wheels using the documented offline deployment procedure; do not substitute PyPI or a moving source branch.
Validation covers Python 3.10–3.12, backend and SDK suites, frontend/type/security checks, Chrome runtime and workflow smoke, built-wheel verification, and pinned BIOMERO host, ZarrViewer and DataQueryWorker compatibility. The local integrated screen notebook was rerun after reopening, including remote DuckDB queries, segmentation PNG/SVG export and automatic OMERO saving.
For integrated deployments, use the corresponding NL-BIOMERO analysis_integration release and ZarrViewer 0.7.1. Production sites should complete their own permission-revocation, fresh-browser recovery and interrupted-synchronization acceptance checks. See docs/release-readiness.md for scope and limitations.
OMERO.Analysis 0.15.0
Analysis 0.15.0 improves the existing OMERO/BIOMERO workspace with generic results, reusable analyses and reliable deployment.
- Fix the recurring middle-pane launch failure: embedding is enabled only when the installed BIOMERO host and frontend support it. Other configurations retain a working direct Analysis link and restore the selected workspace.
- Replace first-party PyPI publishing with pre-built GitHub Release wheels and a SHA-256/size manifest. Tagged versions and wheel metadata must match; missing or invalid release assets fail explicitly. Production preparation retains the offline wheelhouse and
--no-indexinstallation. - Pass validated Method and Pipeline parameters into execution and provenance/cache identities. New Method versions retain their execution contracts, with explicit compatibility handling for saved legacy records.
- Add generic MP4 previews, notebook artifact references and synchronization/restoration beside existing PNG/SVG/CSV results. ZarrViewer movie recipes default to 5 FPS and support bounded frame ranges, labels, points and explicitly mapped tracks without automatic interpolation.
- Improve controller separation, familiar Workspace controls, bounded CSV previews and identifier preservation, schema-gated Assistant skills, and Methods/Pipelines/movie/tabular authoring scaffolds.
- Share frontend, backend/SDK, browser, distribution and clean-install validation; retain Chrome failure evidence.

Use the pinned release downloader and deployment instructions in the release guide. Wheel generation and attachment are gated by the release validation workflow; allow it to finish before deploying.
MP4 preview is available independently of ZarrViewer. Generating ZarrViewer movies requires its zarr-movie-v1 capability from the companion analysis_skills PR, which remains draft. Existing workspaces, notebooks and PNG/SVG/CSV recipes remain supported. Acquisition timing is distinct from the 5 FPS playback default.
OMERO.Analysis 0.14.0
Highlights
- Added production-grade remote data queries with authorized large-result promotion, provenance and audit records, and recovery after interrupted exports.
- Hardened workspace synchronization and lifecycle handling with recoverable cleanup, in-place storage, backfill and maintenance commands, and cross-user access checks.
- Improved the Analysis UI with a completed light theme, clearer workspace switching, unified editing and Trash controls, and better plot and evidence presentation.
- Added portable notebook support through the
omero-analysis-notebookSDK, example notebooks, protocol documentation, and a reusable notebook-creation skill. - Expanded deployment guidance and release evidence, including 10M-row capacity, engine OOM, power-cut, reliability, and compatibility gates.
What's Changed
- Save verified 10M-row CSV results and recover interrupted promotions in #3.
- Integrated the subsequent workspace, UI, notebook, deployment, and reliability work from
analysis_integrationintomain.
